Alright everyone, I am attempting a new book. Please give me feedback :) p.s this has nothing to do with my other story the alpha and the submissive.

Chapter 1

Hi everyone, my name is Penny, I am a werewolf. I live in the Pacific NorthWest with my pack. The year is 2020 and for those who don't know, well the world went to shit. In 2016 a war broke out. It was WW3 and unfortunately for humans the secrets of vampires and werewolves got out, after a few years almost everyone was either a Wolf or a Bat. I was 13 years old when it all happened and well things changed. We are not the only pack in the PNW anymore and it's more like regions but besides the US most countries stayed the same because no one else really had states like us. Anyways Vampires and Werewolfs have been fighting a battle for over 300 years, a battle of control. The winner basically gets the world. I don't really get why anyone would want a whole planet but it's not my war. My family the Bowman's have been around for quite some time and we basically rule the Pacific NorthWest region. I myself is a princess. Trust me it's not as glamorous as you would think. I have a lot of responsibilities that a 17 year old doesn't need.

So my pack is known as the NorthWesterns and by the age of 16 you should have already found your mate. The way you know who your mate is, is by your markings. Once your inner wolf thinks you're ready he/she will show your markings until then you remain one color. I am a copper color, hence my name. My parents kind of got lazy after the second kid. I have 3 siblings my older brother Danny who is 23, my older sister Lily who is 20, me, and my youngest sister Ellie who is 5. Ellie was kind of a surprise to my parents I think. Both Danny and Lily have found their mates by 16 like you're supposed to but not me. I don't know why I mean I haven't done anything wrong I listen to my inner wolf. 

"Penny! Dinner!" my mom yells to me.

I sit up from laying on my bed and try to stop my negative thinking. I know I will find my mate, soon.

I run down stairs and find my family eating. I sat down and grabbed my fork and inhaled my food. 

"No wonder she hasn't found her mate," Danny says under his breath. 

I glare up at him as his mate Becca laughs. I hate her so much shes so fake and just a total bitch. I try and kick him under the table but miss and hit Lily.

"Ouch! You little shit!" she yells.

"Lily, no cursing and the table," my mother says.

"Fine but after dinner she's toast," her green eyes blaze with rage. If you can't tell already my sister is kind of.. how should I explain it.. have you ever seen "mean girls"? Of course you have, well my sister is a plastic. She is "hot" and all the boys wanted her and her mate is just as "hot" his name is Mark and he thinks he's the shit. He is a nice guy but he's just a little self centered. 

I glared back at my sister and stuck my tongue out and I heard Elli giggle, and I smiled. Elli is my favorite sibling until she gets older. Well just in case you all were wondering I am pretty too. I have reddish blonde hair, the red only shows in the sun and I am skinny but not super skinny like Jennifer Lawrence kinda. I have grey eyes and I am about 5 foot 6 so I am defiantly happy with how I look. And guys want me too they think I'm hot but I honestly can care less. Maybe my mind is just set to find my mate, yeah I'll go with that.

After dinner I was walking down the hall back to my room when Lily came out of no where and shoved me against the wall. 

"You kick me again, I am going to make you pay, you got me Penny?" she snarled my name. I shook my head yes and she let go. 

Well theres another thing you need to know about my family. We are pretty hot headed and violent. You don't rule a region by not being tough. At the age of 10 all of us learned to fight MMA, So we all know how to fight.

I got back to my room and got into some shorts and tank top and got into bed. I think I fell asleep before my head hit the pillow.
