We are crashing.
I scream for my team to hold on tight, trying to take control of the systems.
But I know it's useless . The big red button glowing at the centre of the console and the big green letters 'TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE' on the screen, are a sure indicator that we are doomed.
My only companion in the cockpit is shouting, having realised the finality.
It's the monstrous cosmic radiation field around the planet, exceeding 20 million units, which has affected our system, causing it to malfunction. We had tried to make it radiation proof, but situations are worsening.
I am still trying to press switches and buttons, anything to prevent the spaceship from crashing.
Where will we crash? Jupiter has no land. The gas giant with its stormy caverns and molten surface will engulf us in any moment.
I can see the spacecraft hurtle down space, drawn by the monstrous gravity. In a moment the spacecraft would be crumpled to scrap and melting in a sea of gas.
Juno has failed due to unprecedented causes.
So we decided to come on a manned mission. We were warned and criticised and yet we went on in the quest for knowledge.
Earth Station has lost communication with our spaceship too and we strongly suspect that it's Jupiter's changing magnetic fields playing around.
The increasing intracranial pressure is making our eyes pop out. It's difficult to breathe. Our lungs are collapsing. We're dying.
I feel a sudden jerk and I'm thrown against the wall. My body feels weightless and I can see a weird darkness through the diamond windows.
As my head hits the ceiling, I realise that we're in an anti gravity field. But how? Is this the truth beneath the clouds of Jupiter?
Surprisingly the darkness disappears suddenly and we find ourselves in the known premises of space, heading towards earth.
But what strikes us is the earth seems to have reversed over a few days. It is almost as if we're looking at it through a mirror.
Nevertheless we navigate our spacecraft and go nearer, only to find a earth full of trees. There is no sign of animals, no humans.
We don't dare land. The forests are covered with ferns and primitive mosses. It's as if we came back to the origin of earth.
And then suddenly I realise. We didn't return to our earth. We're in a mirror world, a parallel dimension. Somehow below the Jupiter's clouds was a space-time warp and we have fallen right into it.
And as I attempt to turn back I am attracted by the beautiful earth. I feel like I want to stay here. We all agree that we want to live here and well maybe create a civilisation.
Thus I send this audio tape in a space capsule. If you happen to find it. Do search for the wormhole and you'll definitely reach here.
Captain Laura here.
Adios.
