To Camille, who wants to be Eliza...

"It's been 2 years since Elise was gone. She's here, I know. She's everywhere, in my skin, in my lips, and in my heart. Nobody can ever replace her. And nobody can ever replace my Fur Elise Piece."

"He's gorgeous but I think he's a little psycho," A girl inside the music room complained that she was being terrorized by her music teacher. "Sometimes, I wish he is not our director."

-

Earlier that morning, Maestro Phillip entered the classroom, with his all-the-time-grim face and his black leather messenger bag. He asked a question that he knows nobody can answer.

"What's the name of Bach's turtle?" he asked the class. Nobody answered but one. A guy sitting beside the isle.

"I think your question, Maestro, is not appropriate for a Friday. You ought to teach us the intens-"

"I think your answer, Mr. Cruz, is not appropriate for a bright student like you," he smiled at him and turned to the class, "We are dismissed, you may now take your lunch," a pause, "Except for Mr. Cruz." He left the room. Some students approached Anjo but most of them followed the instruction of their professor.

-

Maestro Philip is a handsome looking guy, almost likely to be mistaken of a demi-god, or an angel. His students always call him (at his back) "The Fallen Angel". Like fallen is a negative word attached to him.

"Then why don't you take another course or transfer to other University?" he's at the door way. The sliding door, half-opened, he leans at his side, arms crossed, he's like a stone figure of an Olympus God breathing. "The gates are always wide open for students like you."

The girls bowed their heads except for one. Eliza. She's a new student; she just transferred last month from Paris School for Film. She's not so interested in music but when they migrated here in the Philippines; her father wants her to be a pianist, just like her mother.

"She likes what she's doing in here. But because there are teachers who want to play child games with their students who are not so bright like them." And stood up, leaving her friends and classmates in awe. But not Maestro Philip. Just like Ninth Symphony performed by a 6-years old, he is not impressed.

Greetings from the Office of the Director of Music and Arts,

We would like to inform you that you are invited for a discussion, exclusive for bright students, who are interested in music. The discussion will cover all aspects of music, from history to famous musicians like Bach, Mozart and Beethoven.

Please report to Room Beethoven immediately after receiving this letter.

Thank you.

Signed by Maestro Philip Riviera

Eliza is not aware that she is breathing so hard. Is this just a hoax or is this true? She consulted her watch and it says its 9:30 in the evening. She rested her head on her locker door where the letter was tucked. She hasn't had her dinner because she is not yet adjusted to the time here in Manila. Paris is a very lovely place and she feels homesick. The reason why they migrated from Paris is that her mom died of breast cancer. Their relatives are all here in the Philippines so they have to bring her mom's ashes here. And her mom's last request is that she wants Eliza to take up music so that her dad won't be able to miss her mom because of the music she creates.
