-Five Years before the story: Unknown PoV-

I thought that I had forgotten how to feel pain. But I was wrong. How wrong I was. Even though my body was covered in cuts, some deep and some not, as well as bruises, it was not why I was feeling the pain. My body had long ago forgotten how to feel the pain. The pain that I was feeling was different. I felt like I was freezing, shattering, breaking from inside. This pain, I felt only once and it was so long ago.

I sat there on the cold, snowy ground, with my tears finally stopping rolling down my cheeks. Everything around me was white, well at least I thought it was. My eyes caught movement to the right. Slowly, almost mechanically, I turned my head.

With my blurry vision, I saw two people in dark blue cloaks. One was a girl and the other, a boy. They were standing about ten feet away from me, with there faces betraying nothing. When my blurriness finally passed, I looked more closer at the two people. I noticed that even though they did not show emotions on their faces, their eyes did. There eyes showed sadness, and something that I wished to never see again: Pity.

As I kept looking at the two people, I felt someone's arms go around my shoulders, but I didn't really feel it. I was too cod to feel it. Then I felt that same person pick me up, but once again, I was not paying it any of my attention. My mind was filled with what had happened just half a day ago.

I was not really sure how long it took me to finally understand that someone was caring me away, but I guess it was a long time. I looked at the face of the person who was caring me. The face belonged to a young man, probably nineteen or twenty. He had long dark hair that reached his chin and was cut in a straight line, dark thin eyebrows and lastly, he had piercing deep ocean blue eyes that reminded me of Leo.

As soon as I though of him, I felt tears gather at the corners of my eyes. He was dead now. Died in front of me about half a day ago, maybe more.

I looked over the shoulder of the young, to see a frozen garden. As I watched it become farther and farther away from me, I promised, that I would find the person who killed Leo.

             Two Years before the story:

"Captain Black!" A shout was heard from somewhere. People stopped and looked around. A moment later, a ten year old boy with red-brown hair and hazel eyes stopped before a group of six people. His hands were on his knees, breathing hard. Sweat rolled down the boy's forehead.

"What is it?" A man in his late twenties asked. The man's sounded cold and unfriendly, but his five companions knew better.

"Sir," the boy panted out. "I have a message for you from the general. He asks for you and your team to come to his office as fast as possible."

"Is that so?" mumbled Captain Black. He then turned to his five companions and said, "You heard the boy. Lets go." As soon as he was finished talking, they started to leave.

The boy gulped. "Sir, there is something I have to warn you about," the boy started to speak again. The captains and his companions stopped and looked at him. Taking this as a sign to continue, the boy spoke. "The general did not look happy. In fact, he looked very sad. Something is bothering him. When you speak to him, do be careful. Also, prepare yourself for anything, Sir. The last time the general was like that, things did not end well."

"Thank you, little boy. You may go," Captain spoke and the boy ran of somewhere. Probably to pass on another message. Turning around, the captain started to walk away in a fast pace, making his companions to jog behind him.

"Captain, slow down," a girl with curly red hair, shouted. Thankfully, the captain slowed down. The rest of the walk was spend in silence as everyone was wondering why the general would ask for them.

Something was wrong. Members of Squad CA1 thought as soon as they walked into the generals office. It was dark and quite. To quite, in fact. The general did not greet then as he would usually do. He just stood there, his back turned toward the squad and was looking at something that was in his hand. The squad quietly, waiting for the general to start talking to them.

Half an hour later, the general finally turned. His gray eyes that usually had happiness in them, where dull. He was not smiling, and the expression on his face made him look mush older then he truly was.

"It is good to see you again, Mark, Merida, Hiccup, Flynn, Rapunzel and Jack," the man spoke slowly. "Please sit down. This would take a while." The confused six people went farther into the room and sat down on the chairs before the generals desk, which was filled with many papers and books.

"Do we have a mission, Sir?" asked captain Black, also known as Mark. The general shook his head. This made all other people in the room more confused and worried.

The general walked towards his desk and took something. "Jack, come here, please."

Jack, a white haired boy with blue eyes and pale skin  walked towards the general. "What is it," he asked.

"Tell me, do you know what this is?" The man asked and gave something to Jack. Jack looked at the small object that was now in his hands. It was a well crafted small glass blue rose. It was cold to the touch, and if Jack did not know better, he would have thought that the rose was made out of ice. Looking closer, he saw that on the leaf of the rose, there was some writing. Looking closer, Jack saw that: 'Never give up, my dear friend!' was written in beautiful, cursive letters.

It only took Jack a moment to finally recognize the object. Or rather, to whom it belongs. This rose belongs to his second Captain, who is known as Kalt. His personally favorite, even though the captain is the most sadistic and mischievous captain there is. Even though he never seen the Kalt's face. Even though he did not know a lot about the captain.

As Jack continued to look at the rose, sadness overwhelmed him. He knew what the rose meant. He finally understood why the general called his squad in. He finally understood why the general acted like that.

Captain Kalt is dead. Jack thought as he continued to look at the rose. Silent tears slid down he cheeks, and none saw thanks to the darkness.
