What happens over a course of a couple week's, I am going to tell you in a short chapter.
-
Walking down the halls of New Bridge high, looking at nothing in particular. Until I seen him. Asher Collins, I grew up with him, but once we got into middle school we grew apart, but now he was the best football player on the team.
And the only thing wrong with that was- "Oh my gosh! Hey Asher, I loved your game last night. You were like totally awesome."
He smiled and thanked them, the conversation sparkes up. Until he looks at me, he didnt look me up and down, but just at my eyes.
"Yo, Ash! You coming to the party tonight?"
He looked at his friend and nodded, "course man. I wouldn't miss it. I will be right back."
I faced my locker, trying to get it open.
"Hey," I heard behind me. I turned around, and there stood the sexy god himself.
"Uh, hey?" Really? That's all you came up with?
"Are you going to the party tonight?" I looked at him, "nope, I wasnt invited."  Is this a joke? The hottest guy in the school is asking me?
"Well, now you are. I will see you there? Its on the beach." I smiled, "alright, maybe." I nodded, "cool" see you then."
-
"Hey, you made it!" I seen Asher walk up to me shirtless. Now talk about a view. "Y-Yeah. I guess I did. So why did you ask me here? I literally dont know anyone here." His smile faltered, "well you know me." "I guess you're right, but we haven't talked since the fifth grade." He signed,"I know and I'm really sorry. I just got caught in the crowd."
Right.
So we talked and talked until a popular girl comes up.
"Ew, Asher why are you with her? Shes like totally not pretty." I scoff, "hey, watch it! Or leave." The girl rolled her eyes.
I shook my head, "no its okay, I will. Enjoy your night."
Walking away seemed like a normal thing for me.
"Hey! Carter! Wait up!" I stop walking and turn around.
Asher?
"Listen there is something I need to tell you. I like you a lot Carter, I have since middle school. I distracted myself because I knew you didn't see me the same. So I joimed sports to get you out of my head. But every time I went to sleep, you were my first and last thought. I am so sorry that I left you." Shocked was an understatement.
"I liked you too, Asher. But you ignored me before I actually told you."
As those words left my mouth, his lips were on mine.
Nothing else in the world matters to me as of this moment.
-
Asher and I became closer than ever after that. But we hid it until we graduated, not everyone needs to know what goes on inside these walls and neither did my parents.
