I shuffled up to the crime scene, probably a bit later than i should have been, though my disheveled appearance kept anyone from making a snide remark. I am still completely miserable, nothing has been the same since my sister Hannah disappeared and my mother had passed away. As i ducked under the crime scene tape, i could see the dark hair of a women, she was dressed in olden style clothing. i saw the wrench next to the body, i could only imagine what had happened. My heart sank deep into my chest when i realised who the body was. I hadn't seen my beloved sister for almost six months now, and to finally see her again like this, how was i supposed to act. my knees crumbled from beneath me.

My sister Hannah went missing on the fourth of october twenty-thirteen, Hannah was a tall dark haired women, very beautiful, she worked at sovereign hill so she had to wear olden style clothing to work she was a teach at one of the schools there. ill restart this story from the fourth of august the same year, which is exactly two months before she disappeared. it was a cold august day, which is normal for where we live. i was doing the dishes after my partner had left for work. I heard a knock on the door, so i rushed to see who it was, there in front of me was Hannah looking very distraught. “Hannah, come inside where it is warm. Whats wrong?, Why didn't you call? i would have came to you!” i was starting to panic by this point, because she hadn’t said anything, she usually cuts me off before i get a word out. i stopped myself from continuing so she could speak.  She mumbled something, but i didn't catch what she had sad, i asked her to slow down and speak up. She looked into my eyes then looked down, “i got this is in the mail today”. Hannah handed me a folded piece of paper, you could see she had let her tears drip onto the piece of paper, because there were black drops from her mascara. i took a deap breath and unfolded the piece of paper. The piece of paper had only three words in big red font, “Your dead meat” i was in shock. “Are you sure this is ment for you? is it a practical joke someone has played on you?” Hannah handed me the envelope, “to hannah’  i sighed, “Could this be one of your friends puling a joke?” Hannah shook her head, i doubted any of her friends were this sick. “Is, this the first one you have gotten?’ she did not look up r breath a word. “Hannah! you should take them to the police, this could be serious!” She jumped up, “No, and neither will you. if i take it to the police they wont be able to do anything and it could make it worse. there is no way this goes near to police station or even near a police officer” , she looked at me with a look of annoyance for even mentioning taking this further, she had never looked at me like that before. “I have to go to work, just forget i showed you okay?” “But hannah..” “No Mia!, there is no Buts in this” What could i do she had already snatched the piece of paper from my hands, its not like i could take it to them. “okay, okay. if you need anything at all call me okay?”. Hannah nodded gave me a quick hug and swiftly walked out.

I couldn't stop thinking about her and the letter all day, i was so concerned, what if it was a real threat. No, i had to keep telling myself it was only someone playing a joke on her. if i hadn't kept telling myself this i would have driven myself insane. It got to about four o’clock and i couldn’t bare it any longer, i had to just know she was feeling okay, so i texted her, ‘Hey Sis, how you feeling? Have you decided wether your going to do anything? whatever you decided i’m here and i’m going to support you. Love you forever and always Mia xox” Hannah didn't respond for a solid twenty minutes, “ Hey Mia, sorry i’m only getting back to you now, was getting out of my costume, its a lot harder doing it on your own you know, David isn't home yet, he is working late. i have decided to just leave it. it is only a joke. don’t stress about it anymore okay? oh and please dont tell David about it. See you Sunday at mom and dad’s”. I got a sensation of calmness and relief as i read her text, she is a very convincing liar in my defence.
