Ch. 5- The Performance

Hayden's POV 

I was so curious when I woke up this morning. I wonder if I got the part. It would be a dream come true if I got the part with Annie. I'm not sure if she likes me, but I really do. "Hayden its time to go!" Said Mrs. Summerall.

At School

I literally ran to the bulletin board. I scanned through the paper for my name, and saw I got Romeo! I was surprised as ever! I also scanned for Annie's name and saw she got Juliet! My dream really come true. At least I get to spend more time around her. I ran to the squad, and said, "I GOT ROMEO!!" "Wow Hayden, would you mind bringing it down a notch?😂" said Kenzie. "Sorry, I just never got the lead part before." I said. "Who got Juliet?" Asked Connor. "Annie did." I said. "Aww no wonder why Hayden was so excited!😂😏" Johnny said.  Annie and i blushed like a tomato. Maybe she did like me.

After loads of practice with Annie, we were ready. I was nervous because I'm going on stage with Annie and plus, I have to kiss her in the last scene. We did great during the performance. Now it's time for the last scene. My heart is beating so fast. I grabbed her hand, and set my lips against hers. It felt really good. After the performance, there was literally a standing ovation. Annie and I were blushing, but it wasn't enough that the audience could see it. Annie and I walked offstage and  ran to the squad. Everyone was chatting on and on how great we did. "That kiss though!😂😏" Johnny said. Annie was really blushing this time, but I was surprised she really did like me.

I guess my dream really did come true.

Sorry for the really short chapter guys. There wasn't really that much to write about the performance, honestly. Thanks for reading my book, and I'll try to update as much as I can. Also, just so you know, Hayden and Annie are dating, and so are Johnny and Kenzie.
