The Crown Should Be MINE.

Chapter 1

Qilby had spent yet another day, hidden away in his workshop, creating something. Even Yugo didn't know what the scientist was making. Perhaps he was inventing something to make Zaap portal transportation smoother. Or he was building something to help those who'd been injured in the Mechazim War, which had occurred a hundred years ago. Even now, the kingdom still had Eliatropes who could hardly leave there homes, despite what ever Yugo did to help them.

Everyone in the council was curious, though no one was more curious about what Qilby was doing, then Yugo. So one day, Yugo decided, to go check on Qilby. Yugo stepped up to the door that lead to the steep, narrow, staircase that lead down to Qilby's laboratory. The door creeped open as Yugo stepped through the doorway. "Qilby?" Yugo called down the dimly lit flight of stairs. One step, two, Yugo slowly made his way down to the laboratory. "Are you down here?" Yugo asked as he reached the bottom of the stairs, where he found Qilby standing at a table, fidgeting with a few mechanical parts

"Good morning King Yugo." Qilby greeted, not turning to look at the young king

"It's long past midday Qilby." Yugo replied "What've you been working on that's so important that you've stayed cooped up in here for so long?" Yugo asked as he walked over to Qilby

"Just a little surprise for your 200th birthday." Qilby smirked as he placed a small gear into the back of a blue-green object

"Is that a hand mirror?"

"King Yugo, please go back upstairs. You'll see what it is in due time." Qilby said turning around and pushing Yugo towards the staircase

"Oh come on Qilby, please let me see it." Yugo begged childishly as Qilby pushed him onto the first step

"No." Qilby replied as he walked back over to the table "Don't you have something you need to do?"

"Crap!" Yugo exclaimed as he rushed up the stairs

Qilby chuckled menacingly to himself as he turned back to his invention "It's nearly done." He mumbled to himself "Soon, I'll control Yugo, he won't be able to stop me from doing as I please."

Yugo rushed down the hall, 'How'd I forget? Geez Nora and Efrim are gonna kill me.' Yugo thought as he ran. 'They'll probably try to prank me every chance they get for the next year.' Yugo thought, just before colliding with someone "Sorry." Yugo said as he stood up

"It's fine." The person replied "Wait a minute, you should be in the dining room... Geez Nora and Efrim are gonna kill us."

You looked up, Adami "Well at least they won't only prank one of us."

"Let's hurry, maybe we can still make it to the dining room before they give everyone else food poisoning." Adami laughed

Yugo nodded in agreement. The two rushed to the dining room...

"Where are Yugo and Adami?" Mina asked Chibi as Nora and Efrim walked out of the kitchen with proud smiles on their faces, and trays of.... 'Food'.

"They're late again, Adami was probably looking for Yugo, and Yugo probably completely forgot." Chibi replied

"Knowing them, they'll get here just in time to keep Nora and Efrim from pranking them." Mina joked as she glanced at the three seats at the table that were supposed to be empty at the time. But nope. There was only one empty seat. "Yugo, Adami when did you get here?" Mina jokingly asked

"I might've completely forgot about this..." Yugo explained

"We all saw that coming." Adami joked "I was looking for him."

"Well you got here just in time." Mina smiled "Get ready to get food poisoning." She joked

"Mina! How rude!" Nora frowned, as she had been standing right behind Mina

"It was a joke."

"Nope, you get extra for saying that."

Mina sighed as Nora dumped a large serving of.... 'Food' onto her plate. "Nora, what even is this?" Chibi asked as Nora walked over and began to give him some 'food'

"Well, we were originally going to make macaroni and cheese, but Efrim accidentally knocked over some sugar into the bowl before I could put the cheese in, so now it's just macaroni with sprinkles, sugar, sugar cookies, icing, and chocolate chips mixed into it." Nora explained as she walked over to Yugo "By the way, I know you were late."

"Darn it." Yugo mumbled

"Just eat the sugary macaroni Your Majesty, Efrim and I will prank you later."

Yugo sunk down in his seat "I'd rather you didn't prank me at all." He muttered as Nora walked away

"Don't worry, we're not gonna prank you as badly as we're gonna prank Qilby. He's missed like six of these dinners." Nora said as she walked back into the kitchen

"Is anyone else not hungry?" Chibi asked as he pushed the plate away from him

"None of us are hungry Chibi, we just all eat it to keep Efrim and Nora from pranking us." Mina replied

"I'm gonna get pranked anyway." Yugo muttered as he pushed the so called 'food' around on his plate

"They always go easy on you with the pranks Yugo." Glip chuckled

"Really?"

"Yeah, Yugo they go easy on you with pranks because you're the King."

"Fair enough."

On the morning of Yugo and Adami's birthday....

Yugo stepped out of his bedroom and walk quietly down the hall, headed to the kitchen. "King Yugo." a voice rang out behind Yugo

He turned around and saw Qilby walking towards him "Good morning Qilby." Yugo smiled in reply

"I was wondering if you'd like you see what I've been working on."

"Sure."

"Follow me." Qilby said, hiding a smirk 'He's falling for it, perfect.'

Yugo followed Qilby down to the Inventor's Lab. "So can I see it now?" Yugo asked, he was extremely excited

"Yes. I need you to stand right there." Qilby replied, pointing at an X that had been painted on the floor

"Okay." Yugo said as he stood on the X

"Now just stand there." Qilby smirked as he lifted the Elia mirror "Votre esprit est à moi. Ton âme est mienne. Tu es ma marionnette, pour toujours." Qilby recited the spell he'd written. A beam of light flew out of the mirror, and hit Yugo, knocking him unconscious. "Perfect." Qilby laughed. His plan was falling into action
