Chapter 8

It has been 3 hours since we started looking for her. Naiko and I have really gotten irritated. We decided to give the men some rest. We stopped at a the water fall where we first saw the baby python at and set up camp. It was late at night maybe around 11:00 and we were setting up camp. After we got camp set up patrols were set up to guard the perimeter. Naiko came in and told me it was my turn to patrol and i would be teamed up with a man by the name of James. So i grabbed my riffle and went to go meet up with james. Since our last incident with losing one of naiko's  men he made us do the buddy system. Every guard patrols for about 2 hours then goes and sleeps till his next shift. About an hour in james said he had to take a leak and since we were right next to the lake i told to take a leak in there. He went over to it and took a leak. While i was waiting for him to get done i thought i saw the lake have ripples in a line. But i shook my head and they were gone so i just thought it was my imagination. Next thing I Know James slipps and falls in the lake he swam back up with a bewildered exspression.

He swam over to where i was and right behind him i saw it. I saw the Momma I yelled," James get out of the water its right behind you." He turned around and turned back around and swam as fast as he could i mean he was putting everything he had into it. He reached were i was standing and i put my hand out and he reached it and grabbed him and pulled him up. After he was out of the water i looked back and saw that the momma was full speeding it straight for us. "James move move its comin straight for us!" Without a question he grabbed his assault rifle and high tailed it with me on his heels. When we made it back to the camp Men were lined up guns drawn and aiming at us...
