Christian's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I got up at 6:30 in the morning, like every morning before, I went to the bathroom to carry out my daily routine - brush my teeth, take a shower and then get dressed. I went downstairs to find my mom in the kitchen making breakfast. I sat at the table and she came a place a plate of toast, bacon and eggs in front of me and then she kissed me on my cheek. She went off into the living room and I started to eat, when she came back she had two little containers in her hands. I knew exactly what those were, my medication, I took them.
"It is going to be fine baby, if you take these when you should. Okay?" My mom said. She and I are really close and I can tell she cares about me very much.
"I know mom, I am crazy and I accept it." I said because it is the truth.
"No Christian, honey no you're not crazy, you just think differently from most people." My mom said trying to take my feelings in account but to be honest I don't care.
"If you say so. I going to school." I left the house and went into my car and I was off to school. When I got there it was 7:30 an whole half hour before school starts. I parked my car and went inside and went to my locker to collect my books and head to the chemistry lab where my first class was and sat at the back. Mr. Cane came in minutes later to set up for class, not surprise to see me. The teachers are the only ones that don't avoid me here, but the other kids avoid me like the plague. Maybe it had something to do with what happened at my sixth birthday. That day is forever in my mind and what followed too. I was brought to the doctors and diagnosed with bipolar disorder, behaviors that a sociopath would display and I had depression. So in summary, I am a psycho who could one day wake up and kill my mom and anyone else because I felt like, so that is the entire reason I take those medications from this morning, to help me not think about stuff like that and will make me feel only "normal" human emotions, that is just a bunch of nonsense.
I stared to go over my notes from the previous class, I was like the school genius because school is the only thing that keeps me preoccupied so I don't think about stuff. I was still revising when the bell rang and the lab started to full with the other students. I got the odd stares I got everyday and the hush talking, probably about me.
Mr. Cane stared class and today we are going to carry out an experiment on electrochemistry and I, as usual didn't have partner to work with. The experiment went well, I finished first and after Mr. Cane collected our sheets and the bell rang for the class to be over. I was the first out the door and to my locker to collect my math book and was walking to math class when I hit into someone and everything in my hand meet the floor. I got up after I picked my books up and I was kind of irritated.
"Why don't you watch where your going idiot?" I said with irritation evident in my tone.
"Okay now, just chill." The person said.
"He better run the psycho is going to kill him." I heard one of the students said and I just ignored them and I just walked around the person and was on my way to class.
I was at the back of the class and Mrs. Winter was talking about Circle Theorem, then she suddenly stopped and then she addressed the class.
"Class I want to introduce our new student. Taylor James." She told us. "Taylor you can sit at the back beside Christian." Mrs. Winter said to the boy. The whispers broke out immediately. Taylor, the new boy walked to the seat next to me, probably oblivious to what the other students are saying.
"Hey. I'm Taylor, as the teacher just mention. What's your name?" He asked.
"It's none of your business. Now don't talk to me." I said obviously annoyed. Why is he talking to me? Even if he is new he must have heard about me.
Classes went smoothly and the new kid didn't talk to me again. I was about to enter my car in the parking lot when someone came to stand beside me.
"Christian. Nice name." When I turned to see who it was, I saw the new kid, Taylor.
"What do you want I'm not in the mood for small talk." I told him
"I wanted to get to know you since you are going to be my friend." He said.
"When did I agree to be your friend."
"Oh you didn't, but you are."
"You don't want to be my friend okay." I said before getting into my car and before he had time to protest I drove off leaving him in the emptying lot.
When I got home, I went straight to my room. My mother wasn't home yet so it was only me. I plopped down on my bed on my back and stared at the ceiling.
Why was he talking to me?
Why does he want to be my friend?
Those were the questions that ran through my head. He must have heard about me by now, with those students in that school he must have heard. The day came to an end and mom came home and made dinner. I sat in my room after dinner, scrolling through my Instagram. Yes, I use Instagram, but the only people that follow me are people who don't know me or what I am capable of. I was about to turn my phone off when I was notified that I had a new follower. When I clicked on the profile, I always do it, I saw that it was Taylor.
What the heck?
I stared at the profile, his profile, for an unhealthy amount of time. Then when realized I turned my phone off in embarrassment and placed it on the table beside my bed. I went to sleep that night and dreamt of nothing, as usual.
Just a blank canvas.
