rain, I don't know what's so pretty about the rain but its nice and calm it goes where it wants and no can can tell it where to go, My name is Y/N branwen and I was abandoned by my real mother at the age of two but when I was five I was adopted by raven branwen my 'mother' I despise her, her along with the rest of my 'family' they never loved me it was all a list just for me to let my guard down and when I did that's when it all started the abuse, the beatings, starvation, and worst of all betrayal, why betrayal you may ask well my little 'sister' ruby rose was my life I would have been happy to sacrifice my life for hers but not anymore let me tell you the story of my life

Y/N POV AGE 8

Why, why does this family hate me so much I never did anything to them and yet they hate me but I still have my sister ruby and the dog zwei but right now I feel safe because I'm outside in the rain it feels like home better than the one here but then the front door slammed open

Tai: BOY GET YOU ASS IN HERE NOW!!

Y/N: *so much for quiet*

So I got up and walked into the house only to met by a punch to the face by yang and the rest laugh while I laid there and ruby was worried

Summer: your so weak why did raven even adopt you

Raven: I don't know but I regret it

Qrow: come on kid fight back

Then they beat me for what seems like hours and when they were done I was thrown into my 'room' which is just the closet with a sleeping bag and a sheet and i just staid there until the door opened and ruby came in with some food and a med kit

Ruby: hey bro

Y/N: hi ruby

She walked over to me and helped me clean my wounds and then she have me the food and I ate while she was talking to me

Y/N: oh ruby I have to show you something

Ruby: what is it

I held out my hand and poured some water onto it and the water shaped into a small shuriken and ruby touched one off the points and it pricked her finger

Ruby: ow

Y/N: are you ok

Ruby: yea I'm fine hey I gotta go bye

Y/N: bye

She hugged me and took the plate and walked out and before the door closed zwei walked in and he curled up into a ball next to me and we both went to sleep ready for tomorrow cause its Ruby's birthday and I hope I can join them

I was wrong they didn't want me there but ruby did and I managed to get her a present its a song that I like but I couldn't leave the room but then the door opened and raven came in
