We loved each other so, so much, and now we were together for eternity. After our first time, we were frightened that our best friend would hate us. We were scared that he was going to turn away from us, our connection severed. But he didn't. He let us in when we had nowhere else to go. We felt so guilty when we saw him next, it had been years since we had talked. He had looked at us, judging us, tense. But then he closed his eyes, breathed out, and smiled. He welcomed us in after we had hurt him so much.

Let me tell you, his place is breathtaking. It feels as if there is no end, and he has literally everything. I never tried crab legs until he introduced them to us. We saw one of our sons there, too. He had left years before us, but I'm glad he came here. It felt like a parent saying goodbye to their kid leaving for college, except we didn't get time to say goodbye. One moment he was with us, attending our sheep, and the next his older brother told us he was gone. As you can probably tell by now, my love and I are old souls. We've been around for quite some time.

With everything that had happened to us, my love and I were glad that it was finally over. Now we could rest and enjoy ourselves, like a never-ending cruise that stopped in just the right places at just the right times. But then something changed. Our best friend asked us a question, and it was a hard decision. This is the story of our choice.
