It was warm Saturday morning. I sat in the hammock on the back porch, reading my favorite book. I took in the sunrise and scenery around me when the door opens.

"Annabeth, Breakfast." My dad says, and closes the door.

Our relationship wasn't the best, due to his new wife Helen. Gods i hate her. She tries to control me all the time, someone keeps forgetting she's not my mom. He sticks up for her, even when I'm in the right. I got up and head inside to the kitchen.

"Morning Annabeth." My step-brother Bobby greets me. I can handle him, sometimes.

"Morning" I mumble back, with a small smile.

"Annabeth Chase! Say it more nicely!" Helen scolds me.

"I don't have to." I shoot back.

"Oh really? Do you know?" She said glaring at me.

"It seems you forgot. Again." I say bitterly, " You're not my mom, and you will never be"

"Annabeth Daphne Azalea Chase. Room. Now" My dad said, he's mad. Well I don't care anyway. ( I would like to say, this is what the internet told me on full name but if incorrect, sorry!)

I grabbed an apple and went up to my room. I opened my closet and grabbed a random backpack, and filled it up with clothes that will last me the rest of the weekend, I went to my bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush, deodorant, and such. I put it all in the bag, swung it over my shoulder and headed towards my window. I started to open it when i heard someone cough behind me.

"Where do you think you're going?" My dad asks.

"Away from this place." I blankly stated.

"Who's?" He asked.

"Piper's." I said looking at him. He turned around and left, closing my door.

That was weird, i really thought he was going to be more mad than that. I slipped of my window, carefully getting off the roof. I made my way to Pipers, listening to music on my phone.

"She did it again!" Piper gasped

"Yep." i rolled my eyes, I threw the stress ball in the air, catching it. We were watching a show on tv, but ending up getting bored of it.

"How did you and Percy get together?" Piper blurts out.

"What?" I look at her confused.

" What! You never told us how it happened!" She smirks, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Why?" I laughed, but still very confused

"To write a fanfic about you guys." She mumbles

"What'd you say?"

"NOTHING." she's yells. " I mean, I'm curious ."

" Well then, It first started when Percy asked me on a date to the beach."
