Jungkook had his head leaned against my shoulder for the majority of math. He was so still I'd assumed he was asleep, but he was simply watching me work alongside Taehyung and Shelly.

"No, you cross them first." I scored a line through Shelly's work to show her how to properly calculate it, but I was growing frustrated. I'd explained this atleast three times now, and everytime she seemed to miss something as her gaze drifted off to Jungkook.

"Hey!" I said as I saw her glancing as him again, and her eyes darted back to me, her face flushed slightly as I caught her. "I'm not explaining this again." I said as I slid her jotter back to her, and although I was in a foul mood, I felt my rage dissipate a little when my eyes met Taehyung's soft ones.

"Do you still not get it?" Taehyung asked her in a calm voice, and I sat back and listened, now tired of speaking.

He drew out the same diagram I did, using his pen to show her the various angles that needed to be known in order to calculate the equation. Her face lit up as he handed the pen to her, and to my surprise, she worked it out perfectly.

"Well done!" Taehyung cheered, and she had a giddy smile on her face, her braces being shown off as they shared a high-five. I rolled my eyes at that, mostly annoyed that Taehyung was a better teacher than me.

He looked to me then with a raised brow, as if to say, what you gonna do about it? And I squinted at him.

He was challenging me, and without notice, and to Jungkook's demise, I shot forwards to grab my pen and start the next question.

"You win this one, but I still think you cheated." I said to him as we walked down the corridor together, teasing each other over the silly math questions that were too easy to stress about anyway. Just as he was about to respond, though, a familiar voice called after us.

"Y/N!" I heard Hoseok call, and we both turned around to see him, Jimin, Jungkook and my other friend Jin standing in the middle of the corridor with confused expressions on their faces. "Where are you going?" They asked unabashedly infront of Taehyung, and I noticed him purse his lips.

"Uh," was all I could say before they shouted again, "Let's go!"

I suddenly felt really awkward. I planned on introducing Taehyung to the rest of the group, but I wasn't sure how to. Jungkook had of course met him, but they didn't talk at all, and I worried he'd not get along with the rest of them.

"Okay!" I called back, and they turned heel and began for the stairwell. However, I didn't move, and neither did Taehyung.

"Come with-"
"-I should go-"

Not this again.

"You first," I sighed, and he bit his lip. "I should go, let you get back to your friends." He said, and my eyebrows drew together as I shook my head. "What? No, come! I want you to meet them." I said, and he still looked nervous.

"It's fine, they don't mind. Our friend group is very new anyway, Hoseok and Jimin only joined like a month ago." I tried to convince him to come, but he seemed reluctant. "Uh, I forgot I need to get some water for later, so I'll catch you soon." He said abruptly, walking off in the opposite direction and leaving me.

I frowned as he left, now feeling alone.

I made my way to our hangout spot in the abandoned commonroom to find all six of them staring at me with a mixture of confusion and irritation.

"Where's the new guy?" Hoseok asked as I sat next to Namjoon on the old couch. I shrugged, "he said he needed to get water." I excused him, and I noticed Jimin and Hoseok exchanging a glance.
