You sit in class, bored out of your mind, but relieved that school ends in 10 days. "Class, this is Penny! She will be taking exams with us and spending the rest of the school year here! Penny, your seat is next to /YN\. There, in the /Favorite\ hoodie." The teacher announces. She takes an awkward seat next to you and lets her waist length, light pastel pink hair flow. "Hi I'm /YN\." You greet. She looks at you and says, "Hello! I'm Penny! I don't want to seem rude, but what are your pronouns, if you don't mind me asking!" "/Correct pronouns\. It's okay if you forget them though." She looked confused and replied, "No it's not. That's not fair to you. I will remember them!" With a victorious fist in the air, the bell rang and you grabbed your stuff. "Hey Penny, if you're free, I have a free pass for all summer at the water park and I can bring a friend every time. Would you like to go with me?" You ask her. You wanted her to say yes, because you wanted a friend to go with. Not many people were your friend. Sure, people in your grade liked you as a person, but you preferred your online friends. She thought about it for a few seconds as she was packing up. "Okay. I need your phone number. Mine is (xxx)-xxx-xxxx." You replied with your number.
You walked out of the school together until you reached your street. "My house is up the hill. Want me to walk you home?" You ask her, genuinely caring about her safety. Her house happened to be up the hill as well. You two talk about your childhood and some crazy sibling stories. "Welp. This is my house." She pointed to the big yellow one next to your house, the massive red one. It was a mansion, with all the land on the left side and in the back. The houses were only about 15 feet apart, since the yellow one was on the right side. "You're kidding. The red one is mine." You said, shocked. "Nope. Wow, it's cool that we're neighbors. Welp, I'm gonna go put my bathing suit on. See you in five!" You walked to your respective houses.
You greeted your mother, father, and older and younger sibling. You ran downstairs to your room. You chose the basement since it was the biggest and had it's own bathroom. You quickly put on your rainbow swimsuit (your parents got it for you when you came out), grabbed your big towel, and ran outside. Penny was already waiting outside for you. She was in a black one piece, that covered everything but, the stomach part was mesh. "Sorry if I kept you waiting. My family asked me if I knew who was next door." Penny happily told you,"It's no problem. I just walked out here." You two walked in the best moods to the water park. As you showered [A/N you're actually supposed to shower before going into a pool thingy] you thought, 'She's gorgeous. I'm gonna make sure no one harasses her.' You walk out of the restroom and see Penny sitting and waiting on a chair with sunglasses covering most of her face.
You two go to the back of the wave pool for 5 minutes, until a kid at the front pukes in the water. Penny notices first and sprints out of the water, and you quickly follow. "Blech! Guess that kid couldn't hold their hotdogs!" Penny says with a huge grin on her face and you both burst with laughter. "Hey, wanna try the Terrifying Tornado slide? I've never been on it because I was too scared." You ask her, hoping she says yes. She nods and you guys make your way to the slide.
Penny puts her hair into a ponytail, but it doesn't really do anything. It just kinda constricts her hair to the back of her head. As you get to the top of the stairs for the ride, you start getting nervous. "We'll be fine /YN\. I'm right here if you need me." She assures you. "I'm jUsT kinda scared of heights." You reply, your voice cracking on the word 'just'. You both laugh. You two start walking up the stairs since the line went up about 5 steps, but then you both stop about 3 steps up because you hear a slapping sound. You turn around as Penny whips her head around quickly and whacks the dude behind her with her hair. "What the hell? Don't touch me perv!" She yells at the man. You assume he slapped her ass, so you step in front of her. "Not cool dude. Don't touch my friend." She walks up the other two stairs and you stay on the one behind her, guarding her. "Man, lemme get a piece of dat booty!" You whip around and say, "You disgusting pig!" He slaps you as a lifeguard comes to ask what happened. She grabs the mans wrist as you explain what he did. The lifeguard starts walking him down the stairs, wrist still in hand as he says, "How can a woman be a lifeguard? You're too weak." She digs her nails into his wrist and they walk faster. The line continues moving until you get stopped at the top. "Sorry that happened. We can go after this if you want." You tell Penny. She shakes her head, determination in her eyes. "I'm not letting one jerk ruin this for me!" She said, with the most adorable look on her face. The lifeguard motions for you two to step up. "Who's going backwards?" He asks calmly. "B-b-b-backwards?!?" Penny asks, extremely nervous. "I am." You say, as tough as possible. You get into the double tube and sit backwards. The lifeguard pushes the tube into the water. You immediately regret sitting backwards. Penny starts screaming. After about ten seconds. You join.
You close your eyes as tightly as possible. You feel the warmth of the sun on your /SC\ed skin. You open your eyes and see Penny, smiling widely. You start laughing, and she joins. Then suddenly, you heard a loud thud. You see that Penny hit her head. Then, you feel a big object hit your head.
You open your eyes. All you see is the light blue sky. No clouds, just sky. All is silent and still. Then, an extremely bright light shines in your eyes. You close them again. Suddenly, you start hearing voices.
"What if they're dead?"
"How did this happen? Nobody else was hurt on the ride."
"Oh /YN\. I love you. Please wake up." Your eyes flutter open. You see your father over you. He sighs with relief. You are warm, so you don't make an effort to get up and see him. You hear Penny shivering, and feel something cold on your left arm. You look around you. Your depth perception suddenly decides to work. Penny is directly next to you.
