Soulmates (Stamora)

I bite my lip as the light beat carries from my headphones to my ears. I sit outside and wait for Yondu and his fellow Ravagers to finish talking. Apparently I'm not allowed to join in the conversation so I wait.

We're currently on Xandar after we just did a trade and I may or may have not almost screw it up... again. After another songs ends I stand up and decide to walk around a bit. I know they're going to take forever...

I come across a little Garden. I enter and am hit with a strong sent as I enter the unfamiliar grounds. I hear the sound of someone singing as I remove my headphones, or maybe it's a low hum.

I decide to follow the sound to find some woman looking around the garden and humming some random tune. I'm unable to recognize it. It's probably just a random beat she's creating as she goes

I hide behind a tall patch of flowers and listen. It's quite beautiful to be honest. I also study her appearance. She must be Zehoberei due to her light green skin but who am I to judge.

"Where are you kid!" I hear someone shout into my earpiece. "Who's there?!" The woman pulls out her sword. I huff as I switch off my earpiece and step out to her view.

"Sorry Ms, didn't meant to startle you... You have such an amazing humming voice." Shame fills my fave as she listens to me with angered expressions.

"You were spying!" She concludes. "No! I'm not! I just came here to look around, I never been in this garden before, in fact I don't even live here." I attempt to change her thought, but I don't think it'll work...

"Well I don't either, but still, you're a spy!!!" She yells. "I am not!" I yell back. Then she grabs my Walkman from my hand. "I bet this is a microphone of some sort! Recording my every word!!" She claims falsely. "No it's not! It's a Walkman!!" I get angry.

Her face changes with disbelief and confusion. "What's a Walkman?" Her words stun me. "A Walkman is the best thing ever to exist!! It plays music!!" I explain. "How? How can this small box possibly play music?!" She looks at it.

I grab it and press a button and my current song continues. I place the headphones on her head and hope she doesn't feel treated. Her facial expression change as the song: 'Hooked on a Feeling' begins to play. I listen carefully as the beat escapes from the headset.

"THIS IS COOL!!" She shouts not knowing her personal volume. "It is." I smile. Then our eyes meet. I feel like all the color in the world has gone brighter as she lets out a small smile. Something has changed in her big brown eyes."She's in love with me..." I add my own thoughts to the song in a small whisper.
