I quietly sit down and begin reading, close by I hear a few others whispering so I decide to listen in on their conversation. "Have you guys heard about the duel happening across the river in Jersey?" Huh, a duel? Those rarely ever happen nowadays. It makes sense that its taking place in Jersey since everything is legal in New Jersey. "Yeah it's happening tomorrow at 4 in the afternoon." I block them out after that, I'll be with Phillip at that time to hang out in the park.

Phillip's POV :0

I confronted George Eacker in the playhouse about the things he said about my father. We arranged the duel for the next day, 4 o'clock in the afternoon in New Jersey. That was yesterday, today I actually have to go to the duel. I forgot about having to meet Theo at that time, but if I follow my father's advice to aim towards the sky and Eacker will follow then I'll get to see her again afterwards and it will all be okay. I anxiously wait around until 3:15 so we can get a carriage to the river. It is now 3:45 and we start rowing across the river to New Jersey, my anxiety building up every minute we get closer. We get there and it's 4:00 we start the paces at 4:20 so before we go everything and everyone is ready. It gets to 4:20 we start our paces. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7... I hear a female voice screech the word no and I feel a blinding pain in my side before it all goes black.
