Stepping out in to the frigid winter air as it engulfed me into its cold arms. The scar on my arm started to burn from the cold, I am lucky I escaped the crash with only a cut on my arm. As I walked across the back deck the frost bit at my bare feet. I slowly picked up a pot full of dead flowers then sighed " If only I had brought you inside sooner, you might have lived longer."

Before I walked back into the house I glanced back toward the line of trees that bordered our house. That's when.... I saw him, his cold blue eyes staring into my dull grey ones. Then he was gone. A beautiful white fox with the most mesmerizing blue eyes I had ever seen in my life, it was such a mysterious creature, every once and awhile he would sit at the edge of the forest and watch our house and then he would disappear into the forest.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I hadn't realized that I had dropped the pot of dead flowers. Once I had finally come back to reality I slowly started to pick up the pieces of broken flower pot, then carried them to the garbage can. After I had cleaned up the mess. I hurried into the house to warm up and get ready for school.
