When We Fall

15 1 1

We are

All broken. Our pieces are mended,

But we must all tread carefully so

We don’t fall apart again. We feel

Defined

By our pitfalls, yet our flights were

Incredible. Soaring well above the

Barren landscape, we pirouette

Through the lush clouds,

Our bodies warmed

By

The sunlight that drenches us in

Smiles. When we fall, we forget

The way

We rose. The dry earth claws us apart,

And our wings fall in tatters. The dreams

We

Once had are drowned by the oceans,

And we feel we will never be able to

Rise.

But the earth's fury will ebb, and we

Can drag our faces from the dirt.

We are inevitably slow to rise

After

Wiping the tears from our tattered

Hopes, but we will fly again,

And we will always learn from the

Falling.
