Living With Little Gasters

Chapter 7 (Why help?)

(Nobody's POV)
Y/n sat next to the Gasters on the bed and sighed. "So....we're gonna have to figure out a place for you to stay, that would go unnoticed if anyone else in my family were to enter." Y/n scanned her room, hmmm....somewhere that they'd be able to hide, somewhere they wouldn't be seen as very suspicious, somewhere where they would also we relatively comfortable......... "aha, I've got it!" She yelled out. Throwing open her closet y/n pulled out a huge dollhouse. "It was a gift from my grandmother! it's antique and all the furniture is real!" She exclaimed.

"What was it doing in you're closet?" Stars inquired. "Oh w-well *huff*, I haven't really decided on a spot for it yet, and I'd have *wince* to m-move a lot of stuff around to make space for it." Y/n explained, struggling slightly (a lot) to lift the large yet tiny home. To big to be a normal doll house, obviously to small to be a real one, who would ever need such an extravagant toy?

"Being the somewhat lazy creature that....I-jeez! A-am" she continued as she placed it down on the fluffy carpet that sat in the middle of her room, leaning against it. "I've been putting it off, but guess now's a better time than any!" She declared with enthusiasm. "It should be large enough for you all to live in it comfortably for the time being."

"Oh my stars it's Gorgeous!" Swap gasped, literal stars forming in his eyes as they lit up like fireworks. Y/n laughed at Swaps enthusiasm. With that Y/n moved everything off of her desk and carefully, with a lot of effort, lifted the large doll house up onto the f/c wooden desk top. "There!" She exclaimed, now you'll be able to see out the window whenever you leave, and you're not on the floor, can't help but feel that would be a dangerous location for such fragile, tiny things" she sighed. "Hey who are you calling fragile and tiny!?" Fell fumed. "Hm? Oh sorry Fell, I didn't mean anything rude by it"

"She's just concerned for us" stars defended her. "Rightfully So, due to our current size, anything could be a threat really" Wing Ding added on "So it would be more practical to be stationed for the time being, away from the ground."

Y/n nodded "yeah" placing her hands on her hips. "Welp I suppose you guys would wanna get settled in and check out where you'll be staying before I give you a tour of the rest of the land" y/n muttered loud enough for them to hear. ".....land?" Fell questioned. Y/n let out a small giggle "oh you'll see, trust me. You couldn't ended up with anyone, who lived anywhere, but you may have just stuck gold" she said with a wink.

Y/n assisted each gaster up onto the desk where their temporary home sat. "Oh wow!" Swap gasped. Y/n happened to live in a nicely sized log home on a sizable mountain, if you could call it that, just next to a forest and sat right upon a large lake. Y/n's room just happened to have a perfect view of said lake. With a slight view of the quiet little town off in the distance. Her home was located only thirty minutes from that little town which held the location of their first meeting. The desk sat directly beside a large window, so they had a perfect view of the lovely grassy field leading up to the lake, and the stables off to the left.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Y/n sighed contently. "My little patch of heaven" she smiled. "It's gorgeous" Stars muttered. "You guys think this is what the surface looks like back home?" Swap muttered. The gasters stiffened in response to swaps inquiry. "Do you possibly think....this is the surface of one of our worlds?" B mumbled. "No that's impossible, we've all seen humans in our world, and they're usually smaller than even us.

"Actually.....in this world, you guys are practically make believe. Comic characters, fan made creations based on the original game called Undertale" Y/n explained. They all stared at her in confusion. "Th-that's how I know so much about you, I read the comics, I watch the videos, I played the game one....pacifist route of course, couldn't bring myself to do anything else, it always felt...I dunno wrong I guess."

Wing Ding cleared his throat "Human, could you....tell us more?" He asked. "Of course, In fact, if I could find the exact gasters you are. Who created you in this world, I could probably figure out what's going on back in your universes. "Although I'm not sure, you might now even come from a comic at all, but that's how I know you anyway" she continued.

"But as I said before, I'll do everything in my power to help you in anyway I can, whether it's protection, support, a room over your head, food, information, a possible glimpse into your worlds if I can figure all this out.....anything"

"But why?" Wing Ding asked. "Why?" Y/n responded, cutely tilting her head in confusion. "Why place your life on hold, why keep our existence a secret when it means hiding us from even your family, or when giving us in to some research facility could result in a great payment, Why help us when we have done nothing for you, why help monsters?"

Y/n thought for a minute. "Why not give you up? Because I'm not that type of person, even if I desperately needed the money, I'd never be able to forgive myself if I just handed you off to lord knows who just to make a buck." She paused..... "why stay true to your wish of keeping you a secret? like I said I made a promise to you, anything you need. "Nothing for me? You've done so much more than you know without even existing in this world. "You've made me laugh when I wanted to cry, You've been a kind, happy, loving, unique constant in my every changing universe."

"Why help monsters? Well to me....you are the farthest thing from monsters that anyone could possibly be. "How could anyone to see five incredible, intelligent, unique beings, who have families and friends, loved ones who they fight every moment of their existence to find a way to get back home to them, monstrous?

Why help? Because it's right, because of all you've helped me through without even trying, for all you given to others too. Monsters...no, you aren't monsters, at least not to me" y/n looked down upon the Little Gasters faces.

"...........You are simply the most wonderful miracles, and ya know what?
the world could use a few miracles right now."
