FROM RIVALS TO LOVERS chap.5

Darian's pov :

"dad, I need to talk about something" I asked dad after getting back home from uncle matt's office. When he said something was wrong with dad I really got worried so I thought it would be better if i would just talk it out with him, Why to delay the matter.

"What is it darian?" dad asked me back.

"is everything okay, I mean work and all?" I asked not knowing the right choice of words.

"Yes everything is okay son. Ain't I should be the one asking you that?" His tone was kinda curious.

"It's been so long I haven't seen you or mom, I was missing you guys so I just thought it would be good to visit you both" I couldn't tell him that uncle matt had called me as he specifically asked me not to mention anything to dad. continuing, i said "so are you sure that everything is really okay?"

"Actually there is a problem" dad said with a hesitation.

"What is it?"

"I'll answer you that later, first tell me how is your work going?" he dropped my question, without more emphasizing about it I said. "It's going fine, I still need to do part time to manage everything, and it's tough."

"darian you have your own company here why did you decide to work for someone else?  your life would be so easy if you would have just joined the office. I don't understand why are you not considering it?"

"I told you dad I want to be independent." I said calmly.

"I know but working in your own office doesn't mean you are not independent. We need you here darian and you are just wasting your time after your 'being independent' logic.

"Isn't this my life and my right to decide what I want to do?" This conversation was definitely not leading to the right direction.

"But after hearing the real reason that you're called here is definitely going to make you stay here".

I just frowned to that, raising my eyebrow in 'what'

With a hesitant look dad said, "you have to marry eleena."

"What??"

I couldn't believe what I heard.

"It's not matt who called you, it's me who asked him to call you back here." He told me with a serious tone.

"What do you mean dad? I don't understand." My mind was blowing up by so many questions but I stayed calm I needed to hear the explanation first.

"Me and matt are going to back off from our responsibilities and we have no child except for you and Eleena. We own the company together and we want our children to maintain this relationship too. It would be great for all of us if you and Eleena just get married."

"You're kidding right?"
Anger was seeping through me.

"Why would I joke about something like that?" Dad asked.

"There is no way in hell I am going to let this happen; I am not going to sacrifice my freedom by getting married dad." I retorted in anger.

"darian think about it in another way. You will own this company, and frankly you do not have any choice. This way or that way you have to marry eleena."

Why the hell would i do that?

"I am not ready for a marriage dad. You can't force me" I said, i was starting to loose.

"when matt and I shared the company ownership we signed the papers that before our retirement we will hand over the the company and ownership to our children. and for that, first you and eleena have to get married and if the situation is not going to be that way we will loose the company."

It was not something I expected.
Like A debt? and more importantly the debt's condition.

The marriage thing!

"How could you decide something like that?"

"Matt was suffering from finance disaster, you kids were so little and he needed to protect his family. He tried hard to get loan from bank and from other known fellows but it all went helpless. Then finally after my lots of convincing your grandfather decided to help him and he made this debt, the reason we were partnered was my dad helped matt and the company, we didn't mind it because it was for everyone's good so we agreed. It was decided that when you are going to be 24 we will handover the company to you And your marriage is one of the conditions that's why now you both have to marry because if you didn't we will loose the company." Dad sighed.

"does eleena know about this?" I couldn't help but ask.

"No, she doesn't know a single thing and I would appreciate if you don't tell her anything yet. After six months of your marriage you will be the legal owner of the company and I would suggest you to keep eleena out of this company matter."

I turned my back to dad.
i couldn't hold it back any longer and yelled "you mean that hiding all of this shit and asking her to marry me just because it was your and uncle matt's wish? wow dad, amazing! you guys are so selfish.  you guys decided everything yourself didn't care about your children, their wishes and feelings and now forcing them to marry over some stupid debt. I am never going to be a part of this and I will never ever marry her. I assure you that." i turned around to face him once again only to see dad half laying up on the chair and half down, eyes closed and sweat all over his forehead, "dad? dad .. are you okay?answer me dad"

Panicking, i dialled 911.
we reached to hospital where after long hours we were informed dad was out of danger. If something would have happened to dad today I would never be able to forgive myself for saying all that.

After meeting uncle matt I had no idea that they were trying to set me and eleena up.

When uncle matt told me that he wanted to discuss about dad I didn't know that it was just a trap to call me back.

How and when did they decided all this stuff? I mean they didn't bother even to ask for my wish.

I don't even want to get married. I had so many plans for my self. I wanted to be at the top but just because of this new tragic drama I have no choice but to marry Eleena Johnson.

if we were not in this situation I would not marry her even if she was supposed to be the last person in this world. But after the incident with dad I really have no choice. I have to marry her but I will not going to let it go so easily, they planned my life and now they are going to have a good show of it.

I will make them see in these six months that they made the worst decision of their lives by forcing me to sacrifice my freedom. I am not leaving this behind!

Because its not the end, its only the beginning.

Update ... I didn't plan to update darian's pov but before revealing eleena's feelings and thoughts I changed my mind and update darian's pov. Now here you guys know what darian is feeling about this... the marriage is a crap for him. I am going to give you guys a flashback from their past. It will definitely going to keep your interest alive. IN SHA ALLAH (IF ALLAH WILL).. I hope you guys would like it, it was hard for me to write and express darian's views.. i know the plot is pretty slow but to be honest i just haven't planned anything about this story's plot .. i just write with the flow so i just hope you guys would like it and i assure i'll try my best not to let you lovelies down..
