Chapter 19- I've missed you

I was in that cell again but what was different was that my mother was there in front of me chained up on the wall as I stood at the edge of the foul smelling cell. It smelt like a metallic smell of blood, urine and other smells that you don't want to know. All I could hear was silence until someone broke it.

"Look at you! Covered in blood" she sickly laughed like it was a funny joke.

"A mistake just like you always are" she sneered at the girl when she didn't replie.

My mother pulled out a gun that was hidden behind her back.

"These bullets are lined with silver." She said examining the gun she had in her hand.

" but I hope it hurts like a bitch! " My mum shouted and fired the gun and I saw that it hit her leg a meter below her knee cap.

She flinched but never cried out in pain. She squirmed but still never voiced her pain she was feeling.

I saw blood trailing out of the wound as my mother had a smirk on her face looking pleased with herself she didn't have remorse in her as she watched her daughter squirm.

"Why won't you scream?!!" She screamed.

"Because that's what you want" her weak voice replied.

My mother picked up a knife and shoved it into the girls arm.

"What about now?" My mother asked but she sat silently.

I gasped as the ground started to shake but one slap from my mother made it stop.

I suddenly woke up with a gasp jolting up in the bed panting.

I looked at the time and it was 4am. I decided that I can't go to sleep so got out of bed and walked out of the house into the forest.

I kept my senses heightened so I would know if anyone was following me and once I was sure I shifted and ran around a little before giving my wolf control

After I got back home I had to get ready for school and have a shower.

I was wearing blue denim shorts, black crop top with a red, black and white shirt tied around my waist with black converse.

I went downstairs to cook pancakes for myself eating it and the started to head out to my car.

As I arrived at school someone ran up to me and bundled me into a hug.

"Courtney!!" Sam shouted.

" Sam! " I shouted back with the same enthusiasm.

"I missed you"

"You saw me Saturday" I replied.

" Yeah but I still missed you" she replied and I laughed.

"I missed you too" i said back earning a squeal.

We walked towards class going separate ways when we had to.

Currently it's last lesson which is english I am sitting in the middle of Sam and Amber talking about a party but I zoned out.

"Are you listening?" A voice said slapping me out of a daydream. I looked to see Amber and Sam scowling at me.

" Yeah? " I replied but it sounded more as a question.

"Mmhm" both of them said to which they laughed at and I rolled my eyes.

Mr Black came in and walked to his desk when he looked up his eyes went to where I was sitting. He smirked and winked at me earning him a big smile from me.
