A/N: Things should start picking up after this, and I'll be trying to add in different points of view as well after this chapter. If any of you like Nurarihyon no Mago (Rise of the Nura Clan), check out my other story.

They had yet to catch whoever had attacked them, and they were right in thinking that they were safer in larger groups. Since returning to school, they'd been making sure to travel with classmates, and there had been no attacks. Alex had told Percy, Thalia and Nico, and they'd started keeping an eye out. Despite all this, the day of the ball came way too fast. Before she knew it, it was December 15th, and Astoria was helping her into her gown.
"Draco will be speechless," Astoria smiled.
"You think?"
"Absolutely. There, you're done. Do you need help with your hair and makeup?"
Alex shook her head. "No. You go get ready, otherwise Blaise will be whining that you're late."
"And Draco won't complain that you're late?"
Without thinking, Alex answered. "He should be used to it by now."
Astoria gaped for a moment before racing out of the room, hiding her face. Alex stared after her in confusion for a moment before returning to her hair and makeup. It was nearly another hour before she was ready, and she was sure that she would be cutting it close.
Taking a deep breath, she left the girl's dormitory and made her way to the entrance hall where she'd agreed to meet Draco. The whole castle was decorated in elegant baubles and lights, and she'd taken a slightly longer route to see some of the other halls. She didn't run into anyone else (except Umbridge, but Alex turned her into a pig) until she got to the stairs leading down into the entrance hall. Nobody noticed her, well, until Daphne Greengrass gasped and everyone's heads swiveled to look at her.
Draco froze, eyes glued on her as she made her way down the stairs. She was acutely aware of everyone staring, and it was only when she reached the last three stairs that Draco moved. He walked forward and took her hand, guiding her down.
"You look stunning, Alexandra," He murmured softly.
She blushed faintly. "You look rather handsome, yourself."
The world seemed to stop for a moment, and she found herself lost in his grey eyes. In that moment, nobody else existed. It was just the two of them, until Astoria pointed out that the ball was about to start soon. Draco offered his arm, and Alex took it, straightening her back as they walked through the large double doors.
The Great Hall was beautiful. Enchanted snow fluttered down, fairies danced around the ceiling, and white and silver decorations sparkled. Students, alumni, and parents milled about, while teachers kept watch.
"Alex, there are people I want you to meet," Draco said suddenly.
"Who?"
He smiled at her and began to lead her to two adults. "My parents."
They were about twenty feet away from his parents, his mother gasped, her hand grabbing at her husband's. Alex stopped for a moment, blinking, before Draco gently tugged her forward. On the other side of the Great Hall, she could see her demigod friends watching curiously.
