After protecting a hermitage from two ghastly monsters, the dashing princes of Prem, Gagan and Karan and their sage Acharya are going on sightseeing, as their sage had promised because these princes really needed to relax from their righteous work and rest their bows and arrows.
"So where to next, rishivaar?" Gagan, in his relaxed and pleasant tone.
"I have promised you two sightseeing, so we're heading to the kingdom of Padma."
As Acharya announced the name of the kingdom, a chill ran up Gagan's spine as he was destined to go there.
"Are there princesses, rishivaar?" Karan then asked.
"Karan, rude." Gagan added.
"How is it, Gagan brother?"
"That's actually a great question, Karan." Acharya continued. "There are four princesses living in Padma. And the eldest of the four will soon have her swayamvar so that she can choose a suitable groom."
"Ooh eldest." Karan tugged on Gagan's arm.
"I'm going to Padma for fun, not to take a bride. Anyway, destiny maybe have been already carved put for her."
"Well, ok.""But rishivaar, what are their names?" Gagan grew curious.
"I will tell you, and describe them."
"Thank you."
"The youngest of the four is Prisha. She is quite immature and bubbly like the second youngest, Prithvi. Then there's the playful and bubbly Yukti."
"Seems nice."
"And the eldest?"
"Oh, she is the most elegant and virtuous of the four. She is also beautiful, duteous and very sweet. Gagan, her name is Madirakshi."
"Madirakshi."
Gagan's heart became submerged under a sea of emotions as he heard her name. And when he said it to himself, his dainty smile stirred up.
"Gagan, what's wrong? You're smiling? But anyway, you're known to be ever smiling."
"I was smiling?"
"Yes."
"I was just saying to myself that Madirakshi is a beautiful name."
"It must be. Because it have you smiling."
Gagan indeed smiled unconsciously, because at that time he felt as if he was not in full control of his body for the first time."But are we staying for a long time in Padma?"
"Yes, we will stay there for a few days. I have a hermitage there, you see. So you can spend the night and explore the kingdom."
"As you say. We are thankful." Gagan pleasantly says.
"No Gagan, I must be the one too show gratitude. You defeated an unclean monster just to protect my hermitage, while the other one fled in fear. Thank you, Gagan."
"You don't need to thank me, rishivaar. And I didn't do it alone. Karan had helped me."
"Well you both impressed me."
"We will always be happy to help."
"Gagan, just by seeing you, all my doubts and worries go away. Bless you. And Karan, you keep on supporting him, may you also be blessed."Soon after, they reached to the beautiful kingdom of Padma, which has a large landscape of vivid splendour and happiness, just like Prem. It was more warmer yet cool, and also decked with shady trees.
"This is not all of it, princes. Soon you will find out its hidden prestige."
"Can't wait."
"Revered guru, where is your hermitage?"
"Right over those oak trees, Gagan."
"Oh, great. Right through that path?"
"Yes "The trio then passed through a little dirt path which took them to Acharya's hermitage. Acharya's hermitage was actually little cottages within a yard of vibrant green. Other than the cottages, there were live animals like cows, horses and rabbits, and a wide range of plants and scented flowers.
"Your hermitage is beautiful, rishivaar."
"Yes. We believe that mankind, along with animals and plants, are all created by God so they must live as one."
"Rightly said. Every creation should live together."
"Its good that you both understand. Now, let me show you to where you're staying."Acharya carried them further into the yard and pointed to a specific cottage, which was situated on the left.
"This one is most appropriate. But Gagan, Karan, it isn't as extravagant as your palace rooms. And there's only two hay mats, used for sleeping."
"It's fine rishivaar. The cottage and mats are very lovely, I'll sleep there as though I'm in my palace room." Gagan remarks.
"Oh Gagan. You're pleased with everything. And Karan? What about you?"
"I like the cottage but there's a lot to get used to."
"I understand."
