Prologue:
~September 1st, 1989~
“Neville, I have to go now, it’s nearly eleven and the train is about to leave,” I whispered to my younger brother as I pulled him into yet another hug. “I’ll write as often as I can and I’ll be home for Christmas, okay? We’ll go visit mom and dad together, I promise.”
“Alright, but I’ll miss you a lot. I’ll write to you everyday and I’ll keep mom and dad updated,” he replied weakly. I could tell that he was trying to be strong for me. I gave him another quick hug before turning away from him and looking into my grandmother’s eyes.
“They’d be proud of you, I just know they would,” she declared. I wasn’t expecting her to say anything like that, but I offered her a quick smile and hug before clambering on to the train. Just as I stepped inside, it started to pull out of the station.
I had boarded at the very front of the train, so I slowly made my way towards the back as I looked for a compartment with an empty seat. Unfortunately, I had to walk almost the entire length of the train before I found one that had four red-headed boys sitting in it, but there looked like there was enough space for me. “Do you mind if I join you?” I asked, offering a smile.
“Sure, come one in and take a seat next to George! Or are you Fred?” The one who looked oldest said, chuckling while the two youngest glared at him.
“Thanks, all the others I checked are full. I’m Delilah Longbottom,” I said offering a hand to each in turn.
“Charles Weasley, but you can call me Charlie,” said the oldest, shaking my hand.
“Fred Weasley, the better looking twin,” said the one next to him, while the one next to me glared even harder.
“I’m Percy Weasley. Please excuse my brothers’ obnoxious behavior, they don’t know how to act any differently,” said the boy who looked older than the twins but younger than Charlie.
“And last but not least, I’m George, and might I say that I do believe that I am the better looking twin,” the twin sitting next to me said, staring pointedly at his carbon copy. I couldn’t contain my laughter any more so I just burst out in giggles, surprising the four boys around me, but they all quickly joined. I had a feeling that we would become the best of friends.
A/N: So, this is my first story and I just hope it doesn't sound as stupid as I think it does.
