Sam and Dean sat, hands tied up to the poles behind them. Dean had woken up, startled by a mangled corpse hanging in front of him. Veritas, the Goddess of Truth, took a bite out of the corpse's mouth. The older Winchester turned his head, eyes closed tight in disgust.

"Mmm. Mmm! I cannot wait to eat yours. I mean, I've seen liars before, but you two? Gold standard," she mused.

Dean scoffed, "Point of professional pride," he said, a smirk playing on his lips.

"I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you, Dean. You know what happens when you base your life on lies, right? The truth comes along and... So, while you've still got your tongue, God knows you've got an earful," she started, kneeling down next to the hunter. "I think it's your turn to spill some. How 'bout we play a little truth or truth? What should we ask Dean first, hmm? Something... Personal about you?"

"Shut up, bitch," he hissed, not wanting to say anything about how he felt with Sam.

"Keep talking like that, I dare you. I'll kill him. I know you love him more than anything,"

"Touch Cas and I'll kill you," he threatened, a pointed stare at the Goddess. She frowned, eyebrows raised in surprise.

She got up, took a few paces back before turning around to face Dean again. "Castiel? Your pet angel?" she barked a laugh, "You love him?"

"More than anything. He's being a dick right now but I would do anything to help protect him," he replied without hesitation, eyes immediately narrowing in frustration. "Damn it..."

"Dean, it's okay. I love him too," Sam stated, a few feet away.

"Not like I do. And not nearly as much." he snapped.

"Of course I do. He's like our brother," the younger Winchester argued. Dean kept his mouth pursed in a thin line, making sure he didn't say anything unwanted.

A grin grew on Veritas's face, "You don't love Castiel like a brother, do you, Dean?" she inquired.

  "No," he paused, "I don't."

Sam sent him a questioning look, eyebrows knitted together. "So, tell me... How do you feel about the angel?"

Dean sent a glare upward, cursing God himself for letting him get into this situation, "I love him. I love his eyes and how blue they are. I want to hold him, so much closer than I should. I know that. And I know it's wrong. He's an angel, I was in hell. But I love him," Dean breathed out, "God I hate you,"

The Goddess smiled, victory showing all over her face. "You... Love him?" Sam asked.

"Yes." he didn't miss a beat. "Dammit Sammy, just shut up!"

"I think you two need to talk this out," she walked to other side of the room, smiling to herself.

"God, Sam... I just, I want him. I want to hug him and kiss him. And God the dreams I have, they're so-"

  "Would you stop that!"

"I want to, trust me." Dean hissed in reply. "I just wish he was here, I want to see him," Dean sighed, alight smile coming to his face. "and his smile, God his smile... I love him. I love him so fucking much-- God! Why can't I just shut up!" his voice growing into a shout in the last sentence.

Sam finally broke through the bonds, passing the knife to Dean and going after Veritas.

Dean just sat, head hurried in his hands. He could feel his ears flaming red and the blush clawing it's way up his throat. "I can't believe I just fucking said that," he murmured.
