DAHYUN'S P.O.V.
"So. School starts tomorrow for us. A new year." Chaeyoung said.

Tzuyu, Chaeng, and myself were having a sleepover the night before the day we all transfer. We'd be attending the same highschool anyway, so why not?

"... stop being cheesy, Chaeyoung." Tzuyu said, eyes glued to her phone.

Chaeyoung sat on her pillow and pouted.

"Aww, come on Tzuyu, she's just stating the facts," I laughed as I swiped her phone out of her hands.

"The obvious facts." She retorted, attempting to get her phone back.

"Facts nonetheless," I said while keeping her phone out of reach. "No devices. Let's talk, or do something that doesn't require electronics, pleaseee?"

Tzuyu sighs. "Fine."

Chaeyoung happily joins us, obviously glad that the tension has broken.

"So, what're we talking about...?" Tzuyu asks.

"School. Goals. Cute boys. I don't know, anything you want." I respond.

Both of them stare at me blankly.

"Ahhh, ok then. Since I'm the oldest, I'll go-"

"First?" Chaeyoung interrupts hopefully.

"-last." I smile at her innocently, as she and Tzuyu simultaneously smack one of my shoulders.

"Ow. That hurt." I rub both my shoulders in an attempt to ease the pain.

"Then Tzuyu has to go first," Chaeng says.

Another sigh. "Fine." Tzuyu replies.

"So, my goals for this year, huh?" We sit facing her, anticipating.

"Oh, I don't know. Get good grades, I guess?" She looks at us for help.

"You should find a boyfrienddd," Chaeyoung laughs.

"Right. TZUYU, GET A BOYFRIEND." I yell, a bit over-excited.

Tzuyu covers her ears. "Ow."

"Sorry, just got excited. Ehehe."

"And no, I won't. I don't want one." She replies neutrally.

"Aww, but it'd be funn," Chaeng and I both say pleadingly.

Tzuyu stares at us for a bit, before saying,

"Then you two have to as well."

It's Tzuyu's turn to receive confused, blank stares from us.

"... huh? Me, get a boyfriend?" Chaeyoung asks incredulously.

"Ah..." I swallow. Me, find a boyfriend. A boy that would actually like me... Can such a person exist...?

"Yes. Both of you." Tzuyu looks at me, especially.

"But- but-"

"No buts."

"I'm fine with it!" Chaeyoung says cheerfully. I stare at her.

"Seriously?" I ask.

"Mhm!" She responds happily. Well, that's Chaeyoung for you, I guess. An adorable, kind, innocent lion. Simba.

"Then Dahyun-unnie has to do it as well," Tzuyu says to no one in particular.

"Now, wait-"

"What?" Tzuyu asks, sighing.

"Um-"

"Spit it out, Dahyun-unnie."

A blank silence, before I respond,
"Well, whatever, might as well give it a shot I suppose," I say eventually while sighing.

"Yayy! We can all get boyfriends!" Chaeyoung exclaims cheerfully. Ah, so innocent and clueless.

"Um..." Tzuyu looks at her watch "It's 12:37 AM... Shouldn't we sleep now, especially if tomorrow's the first day?" Tzuyu questions.

I look at my phone in shock. Wow, that late already?

"Okay, good idea Tzuyu. Let's go wash up and get ready for bed~" I sing as I dance out of the bedroom.

We play a 2 quick games of rock-paper-scissors to decide who gets to use the bathroom in which order. When one person wins, the other two have to play again to decide who goes second and who goes third.

Chaeyoung wins, and then Tzuyu wins between the two of us, so Chaeyoung heads in first while Tzuyu and I stand outside the door.

...

"Unnie."

"Hm? What's up Tzuyu?"

"... Is something wrong? You're usually way more hyper and excited. You okay?" She asks, a hint of worry etched into her voice.

Ah. Maybe I was being too obvious.

"I'm fine Tzuyu, don't worry!" I give her an exclusive concert featuring my eagle dance to prove my point.

"Okay, Dahyun-unnie." She stands awkwardly for a couple more seconds, until Chaeyoung comes out of the bathroom.

"Dahyun-unnieeee~" Chaeng calls.

"Hm?" I look over in her direction.

She stares at me for a while, before suddenly smiling and replying,
"It's nothing! I'll go get in my bed, unnie!"

I watch her happily bounce back off into our bedroom, seemingly oblivious. Seemingly.

I swear, that kid knows more than I think she knows.

Tzuyu finally comes out of the bathroom, leaving me some more time than the others to wash up.

I look in the mirror, wondering why Chaeng was staring at me.

I don't see anything worth staring at on my face...

Perhaps she just had a gut feeling.

About who-knows-what.
