Meryl's POV

"Candace and Mark have come in third." Was what I heard.I could feel Maks' tension release a little because it wasn't us who was eliminated.
"Ok,it is now between Meryl and Maks and Amy and Derek.Who will take home the Mirrorball Trophy and be our Season 18 champions?"
Tom asked.
The audience responded of course with mixed "Meryl!" And "Amy!" shouts.
Maks was nervous,I could tell.He had been tense ever since our last dance.He said he was fine,but I knew him better than that.
"Meryl?" He said.
"Yes Maks?" I responded.
"Whatever happens tonight,I want you to know that in my eyes,and in the eyes of
America,you're a winner.You'll always be my winner."
"Coming from you,that means so much.",I said.
Uh oh.Here we go.Tom just announced us back from commercial break.
"Here in my hand,I have the names of the Season 18 winner of the Mirrorball Trophy and Dancing with the Stars champions."
Maks tensed up again.
I knew and America knew that this season was his most crucial season on the show,and most likely his last as a pro.From the moment I met him I knew that even though he said our dances and our journey was for my growth and experience,I knew it was really for him,and I was ok with that.
"Meryl and Maks.Amy and Derek.I can now reveal who came in first and who came in second.Your Season 18 champions of Dancing with the Stars,and winners of the Mirrorball Trophy,are...MERYL AND MAKS!"
As soon as Tom said my name I could feel Maks' tension release.
"We did it Mer!We did it!" Maks was shouting.
Val ran over as soon as Tom said my name.I always loved their relationship,you don't see many like it.
"Bro you DID it!You guys WON!" Val was shouting.
Then we got lifted up onto everyone's shoulders and confetti started raining down on us.
I couldn't believe we won!This win was for Maks in reality,and I didn't want it any other way.
We then jetted off to GMA for the next morning.
The only thing I could think of on the way to New York was "what now?The season is over.What now?"
