Back at the meeting room, Ren, Rin and Sakura draws the map of Zhangguo again for one important meeting with Reiji and all the other advisors and commanders in war.
"Heard you called us, Sakura. What seems to be the problem?" Reiji asked when he approaches them.
Sakura looked at him and said, "Nothing bad. Just called you all for this."
"And why would you call for us?"
"This is why." Sakura stared at him for a moment then she turns to all those who are present in the room tonight. "Listen very well, guys, from now on, I will not lead you all to war and I'll never be your queen regent anymore for you guys already know that everytime I lead you, we are always defeated."
The commanders, advisors and generals seemed to agree to it. "Okay, then who's gonna be the new general and sovereign to lead us?"
Sakura turns around at Ren and she said, "My brother. He will lead you all to war from this day forth."
The generals doubted. It's impossible. A fourteen-year-old boy cannot lead the army to war at such a young age. He might die if he fights. And besides, they think that Ren is inexperienced to lead them to war.
"And how can he do that? He's too young and inexperienced, Sakura." Reiji doubted. "The other kingdoms might mock us for him being to weak and young."
"Umm... Correction," Ren said. "I may be young and weak but I'm still good at holding a sword and riding a horse. And also, thinking of a new strategy at war and commanding you all."
"Oh, really? Can you prove it?" Reiji said. He doesn't believe in him. Young people are not allowed to fight because of their age, size and condition.
Ren is okay with it. Since the general doesn't believe him, he draws his sword from its sheath and within a quick movement, he swung the sword everywhere until the generals are amazed to see him move in a swift movement and a strong attack. Looks like Ren is experienced.
"Now, do you believe me? If you wanna know, my dad used to teach me sword fighting when I was five, then he enrolled me to General Haza's military school where I learned much about academics and military strategies and later, my dad told me that I can be a general if I want to." Ren explains it thoroughly. "So, do you believe me?"
Reiji and the generals sighed. "Okay, we believe you. But remember this, if you become a general, you promise us that you will lead us to victory."
"Of course, I will. I'm the general and my promise is to fight with you to the end."
"Good." Reiji nodded. "So, what's the plan? How can we turn the tide of this war?"
Ren smiled at his sisters and said to him, "Through our generals."
"Through our generals?"
"Yes."
"Ren, you know that our generals are fools who always lose."
"I'm not talking about the inexperienced ones, I'm talking about the new ones that we'll be recruiting for the army."
"Recruiting? You're gonna find new ones?"
"Yes. Strong and brilliant new ones who are veterans of the wars years ago."
"And where do you think can we find those kinds of generals? If you're going to find one, then you still need to go to Enryuu because there are lots of veterans there."
"Oh no, we're not going to Enryuu for that."
"Then where are we gonna get one?"
Ren points out to the map and said, "Here. In our kingdom."
"In our kingdom?" Reiji doubts him again. "We have searched and roamed the entire kingdom for generals and all we found are nothing but weaklings."
"All you found are weaklings, General Reiji, but what my sisters and I found are no weaklings. They're far more better than weaklings."
Reiji doesn't seem to know what kind of generals will Ren recruit. Will it be veteran soldiers or just mercenaries who are strong enough to fight? Well, the answer is unknown.
"Okay." Reiji muttered. "So, where do you think they are?"
Ren smiled. He knows where they are when he looked at the map.
