A/N: This is a chapter to a story plan I wrote a LONG time ago, but I am going to try to use this chapter to add onto this. I hope it's still alright :)

Chapter 1: Alyssa Evans
The rubber wheels to the charter bus screeched to a stop, sending me, along with the other passengers, forward. My hands hit the comfy, felt seat in front of me, and I heard the loud sounds of bags hitting the floor, as well as groans and complaints.
“Sorry, everybody!” The bus driver- a huge, muscular dark man- pulled the bus to a stop and put it in park. “We’re here.”
The windows were suddenly shielded by dark metals that slid from the tops and the bottoms, clicking together their teeth in the middle. The seatbelts undid themselves, and the seats flew forward into a seating position, even with kids in them. Lights flickered slowly on, giving people the chance to see again, though I seemed like the only one who cared.
Grabbing my bag from the outside seat, I stood up and exited the bus.
The moment my feet hit the pavement, my eyes were looking around. The crowd of kids who transported on the Coast Bus with me were already heading over to a wooden door that stood on some stone steps, across the green lawn. Above it was a faded yellow banner with the words “Welcome Back, Coasts!”
But my eyes were too busy being open and staring to notice much else at that time. I took in the new appearance of the Coast Bus, which was yellow when it picked me up, but was now a blue and white color. Then the forest that surrounded us, thick and plush, with only the paved road we arrived on and the gate down the road separating us from the real world. Then there were the three massive buildings in front of me. The green lawn stretched far and wide, with the main school building across it. It was brick and stone, brown and old, with huge windows and many floors.
Behind the main building were the two dorms: the one on the left was tall, wide and brown stone as well. It was for the Techs, while the red brick one, which was far smaller, was for the Coasts. And beyond that were training stations and a beach, but that was all that the brochure showed.
Wood Heights Academy, school for warriors and technology geniuses. What? No, I said that right. Warriors, as in spears and Bo staffs, swords and even firearms and combat. This school is where people with Techs and Warriors, or, more commonly called, Coasts, relatives are trained, to help defeat evil and make justice in the world. Yep, that’s what cheesy stuff they’re feeding us.
But, with both my parents Coasts, and my aunt a Weapons expert, all who went to Wood Heights, I was born and raised in this world, and it was about time I decided to go to school here. Most kids started at the age of 13, when they finally are able to buy a staff or a weapon from dealers, but my dad was always the ‘go-to’ one. When he left, my mom didn’t want me training, because she felt that it was too risky for her to lose her only child. But it was in my blood, either way, I’d be dragged into the Coasts’ world, and four years later than normal was better than when I had a job and a family.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when a sharp pain pulsed through my foot. I jumped, letting out a small squeal, as a huge suitcase landed on my foot. I held my breath and counted to three, taking deep breaths and waiting for the pain to leave. When it did, I automatically felt embarrassed. A squeal of pain was not usually a sound you hear from a Coast.
“Oh, sorry!” A voice said. “I didn’t hurt you did I?”
Looking over, I saw a guy who looked around my age, with deep brown, round eyes, and messy brown hair on his head. He was tan, and towered over me, with a sort of cute, boyish charm to his smile. He bent down and lifted up the humungous suitcase like it was a feather, and threw it on the pile with the others.
