The Fault in our Life

Chapter 3: The Feels

I call it the feels. It's when something you love so very dearly gets taken away. My doctor just told me that I wont live to see my baby become a little man. But I don't think I'm afraid of passing into a new world and going to another "dimension". I know wherever I go, Augustus will be there happily awaiting my arrival. 

Anyway back to the feels. It's really not that big of a deal to anyone but me. Some examples of the feels would be knowing you won't see your baby grow up or crying at a sad movie. Today I experienced one of those feels. And you'll find out what happens now.

I decided to call Issac to check up on him. I figured "Why not check up on my dead boyfriends, best friend?".  It's been an hour and I'm still here waiting for Issac to come. I got a little worried when I called and he didn't answer. I called his house and his mother picked up saying Issac was sleeping but she would wake him up for me to speak to him. 

A groggy voice picked up the phone saying "H-Hello" 

"Hey Issac."

"Hazel?"

"Yea I just wanted to check up on you to see what you were doing and if you wanted to come over."

"O-Okay. But give me like 30 minutes because I have to get ready and I still have to wake up"

"Okay just call me when your ready and coming"

"Okay bye" he said

"Bye"

It's been three hours since Issac has come. I started to get a little worried when he didn't pick up his phone. I figured he would still be walking to my house, so I decided to walk to his house just too see if he was coming. 

On my way over to his house, I noticed something. Something weird laying in the middle of the street. I looked closer and I realized that it was Issac. His arm was backwards and his leg bone was sticking out of his skin.

I ran over to him telling him are you okay and hang in there I'm calling help. I ripped open my jacket to get my phone and dialed 911. They said they would be here any minute but surely enough they got here in 20 minutes. 

They said that they would take him to the hospital but he had no pulse and he was only gasping for air instead of breathing. basically the officer was trying to tell me that he is dead.

I broke down in the middle of the street crying. I guess Issac must have heard me because he said "Hazel". "Come here"

I hopped inside the ambulance and leaned in close to him. He said

"I'll take care of Augustus where he is in that other dimension" Then he closed his eyes and his heart monitor flat lined. 

I looked at him still crying but kind of relived to know somebody will still take care of my beloved.
