"Dale, why do you look like you're attending a funeral instead of a wedding?" Maylene asks. 

Marydale sighs, "Maylene, do you think when God showered  the world with bad luck, I caught all of it?" she asks. 

Maylene sits beside her. "How could you say that? Do you see how lucky...wait no.. how blessed you are? You have a stable job, you just got a house, and now, they just made you the head of one of the biggest projects in Korea. Blessed, I tell you..blessed!" 

Mayrdale sighs again, "I know that." she answers. 

"So? What's the problem?" Yssa asks. "Sorry, I can't help but hear you complaining again Dale. What's wrong mi amore?" she asks. 

"Do you guys have any idea how many times I have been a bridesmaid in my entire life?" she asks her two best friends. 

Maylene and Yssa look at each other and roll their eyes as they both say, "Too many too count."

"Exactly!" Marydale stands up and walks around the room where they are getting ready. "And you know, as cliche as it sounds, why am I always the bridesmaid, but never the bride?" she asks.

"Because, your knight in shining armor is still on his way..probably on a detour or something." Maylene answers. 

"You are just saying that because you already have yours." Yssa adds. 

Maylene shots her a deadly glance, "Yssa, don't worsen the situation." she addresses their friend who is in the same boat as Marydale. She walks toward Marydale and Yssa and put her arms on both of her friends, "Don't lose hope, he will come. For all you know, you both might meet him at this wedding." 

"Speaking off--why am I always.. actually, why are we always bridesmaids for Haley? This is like her third wedding already, and we are just 28 years old for goodness sake." Marydale asks. 

"It's because she has no friends." Yssa laughs. Maylene and Marydale join shortly after. 

As they are laughing, someone knocks on the door. It is Julie and Brooks, Haley's usual wedding planner and her assistant. 

"Girls, this is not your first rodeo.. you know the drill." Julie instructs. 

"Yes, Mami J!" they answer. 

Julie and Brooks walk towards the three, "Maylene, so did he propose yet?" Julie asks. 

Maylene blushes, "Not yet Mami J... but we are going strong and I'm happy about that." she answers. 

"Good. And how about you Dale and Yssa?" 

"S-I-N-G-L-E" Yssa answers, "..and some days I am bitter about it, but not today. However, Dale here seems super upset about it." she points at Marydale.
