AS I Feared By..Mr.Bread
Black
Same
Together
Pain
Stepping out
Fame
You see them walking down the street
Bang bang
The reputation
But the truth is we are a black nation
Nothing faze us
Even when police taze us
They can't contain us
Because god made us,equally
As I feared
I have to explain how people should be equal when they should already know
I have to say and explain how my parents made a bridge between black and white, that they did not worry what people might say, that they may be looked upon differently because there skin (something that they and everyone is born with) are different colors. That bridge was me
As i feared
We have rode into another section trying to express how equal we are
As i feared
We have not yet hit the rope raised so high
As I feared
I can call the white men and women brother and sister but they cannot call me it back
As i feared
We yet again have to explain to the same species how we are equal
As i feared
After 100 years we can still barely call america home of the free
As i feared
Black men women and children have to suffer the suspense on whether a family member will come home tonight
As i feared
Black children have to be explained to whether there dad will be not coming home or if there dad was shot to death by a rogue police officer
Bang Bang go off the gunshots as people feel as if they have to fight ,to sell ,to do things there mommas would not be proud of to survive and sustain a normal life in a place,a country they are supposed to pledge of allegiance to.
As i fear
We have to specify and stay clear
As i fear
People aren't equal on this one little sphere
Maybe i can't say it in school,...but we cant even share a beer
A glass
A class
The same area, the same grass
The same Neighborhood
The same fight for good
We can't be understood
Because they refuse
I end this poem but we should not end the fight
We should take flight..and show them we don't have to show them
I feared...I fear...I...I...am not afraid...as there is no more inequality
I don't fear
