Chapter three- Don't Get Attached

_____Alex POV_____

As I walking back to my room I heard Rocky and Eric talking, and as much I don't like eaves dropping, this caught my attention, "Has Alex changed ever sense..." I heard Eric ask Rocky, Grrrr, I told that son of a biscuit not to mention anything about 'the past', "Not a lot.. I mean, he's grumpy yeah.... but not as much, why do you ask?" I heard Rocky say, those damn bodyguard's... why did I get a new one, "I was just wondering.. sense you know.." I sighed, 'guess i'll have to have a talk with him tomorrow' before I knew it, Rocky had already left and Eric was alone at the table.

I shook my head and walked to my room, I didn't feel like talking to him yet, "Alex? Is that you..?" Sh*t he spotted me, "Nah, it's a ghost.." I said sarcastically, he just chuckled and patted my head, I just growled and turned away from him, "Whats up with you?" He tilted his head, I growled, "I told you not to mention the past to ANYONE!" I glared at him, his eyes widened, "I- wait, you listened to our conversation?!" he hissed, "Well, maybe you and Rocky shouldn't talk so loud!" I hissed back, he growled and turned away, "Why do you act like this?" He looked at me again, I sighed and turned away "You know exactly why, Eric." I began to walk away, "I....I'm sorry about th-" I covered his mouth, "Don't bother to apologize, it happened a long time ago anyways." and with that, I left to my room.

___Next Morning (still Alex POV)___

I woke up with a pain in my head, I don't know how or why it started hurting but the only thing I did was yell at Eric.. 'Ugh, why now...' I said mentally and walked to the mirror and looked at myself... damn I looked messed up, my hair was every where, my eyes looked... droopy I guess, god... just picture a red panda, but messed up, and that creates me right now, "Mr. Blackpaw? There is a package that someone brought you." One of the butler's said from the other side of the door, "Huh? I wasn't expecting any mail today though.." 'Who would send me a package anyways?' I thought to myself, "Well, I am just informing you sir." And with that, he left, but still... who WOULD send me a package?.

____Eric POV____

I couldn't sleep, at least not after the way Alex started acting when he found out I asked Rocky, sure it might of just blurted out of my mouth but still.. 'will Alex act like this for the rest of his life..?' No, he cant act like this... maybe if.. no.... I can't, "Ughhh, what am I thinking!" I mumbled.. I got out of bed and brushed my hair, also changing into my 'work' suit, today is my first day of the job.. lets just hope it works out well.

'What if he hates me forever because of what I said' I kept thinking to myself, 'You're just paranoid Eric' lets hope I am, I continued my walk down the hallways, trying to look for his office.. he showed it to me... but I still couldn't remember it, "Where the hell is it?" I looked around, checked doors, even asked people who I randonly saw.. that is, until I ran into someone, and when I say ran into, I literally did, I fell butt first on the ground, "Hey watch where- Eric?" I heard a familiar voice say, as I looked up, I reconized it was the one and only President Alex Blackpaw, "I'm guessing you were looking for my office, Eric" I looked up at him and nodded, blushing a bit from embarrassment, which -to my surprise- earned a chuckle from Alex as he helped me up, "Didn't know a professional Agent would be so clumsy." He said smiling, "I.. I'm not, I just d...didn't see where I was g..going and uh.. th...this happened.." I said looking away, he just rolled his eyes and lead me to his office.

Ah, right this is his office, "So I just stand beside you all day?" I asked looking at him, "No you idiot, not here at least, different story when we go on missions though." He said with a hint of playfullness, "But I can still hang out with you... right?" My hopes went up when I said that, "Um... I don't see why not..? But don't mess with anything, or you'll end up falling on your butt again like in the hallway, and trust me this time it's going to be because the 'president' did something." He said laughing, "Ha ha, very funny." I said sarcastically, once I said that he looked at me, the look he was giving me gave me the chills if I must say, "Don't get attatched to the way I acted back there, just because I laughed at your stupidity doesn't mean i'll act like this alot" I sighed and nodded, "Okay fine, i'll try not to." He looked at me for about 3 more minutes before nodding and working on his paperwork, and I, as his Bodyguard.. stood by his side, -I also snooped around a bit heheh which is why I got yelled at a bit- and who know's maybe i'll grow to love this job afterall.
