So, hang on. I'mma explain what happened with the whole Nikola thing. So, she got pregnant with Elijah's child and she got scared of the commitment. She loved Elijah but she didn't want a child. So, Damon and Elena offered to take care of Valentina for Nikola. However, Nikola dipped town after dropping Valentina off. Now, no one talks about Nikola. Therefore, Valentina doesn't know Nikola exists. (BTW, I'm changing Nikola to look exactly like Katherine.)
