Chapter 5 The proposal

I dropped my bags my dad was just about to ask.What is wrong with you you lied to me dad, I yell!!I didn't think you would take it seriously my, dad says.You promised me you promised me, I yell!!Well you know no one keeps their promises Kayla my, dad says.EVERYONE DOES BUT YOU I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME, I scream!!!I run up to my room.Kayla come back here now, my dad yells!! NO, I scream!!! I could here the lady say Wow Kayla is really annoying and my dad agreed with her so it made me cry hard I slammed my door so hard I thought the whole world could here it.I could here my dad say the words will you marry me to the ugly lady I was hoping she would say no but all I heard was a scream after that so I was guessing it was a yes I cried so hard wishing so much that my mother was here she always helped me in these situations I cried even harder when I thought about her I ran to my bed and got on my phone checking for a text but I didn't get any so I played my favorite game flappy wings I fell asleep and dreamed about my mother I woke up the next day and got ready for school I put on my necklace and a pink shirt and some jeans and headed out the door I got a ride today with Bella.I hopped into her car and we drove to school talking.So how was your night Bella asked? Horrible I say.Why what happened Bella asked.My dad asked this ugly lady to marry him I say sadly.Wow I thought he promised you he wouldnt marry another lady Bella says.I know me too he said no one takes promises seriously I say.Wow really everyone takes promises seriously such a good father why would he ever do that Bella says.I don't know but its killing me I say.We make it to the high school and Bella parks her car.Lets go Bella says.Ok I say.We hop out of the car and head to our lockers I get to my locker Bella's locker was right by mine we grabbed our books and stuff and walked to our class Bella bumped into Robert her crush and they looked into each others eyes like they were in love.Well I should head to class now I say.Ok Bella says see you later.I headed to my class I felt so happy for Bella I knew he was gonna ask her to go to prom now I was gonna be lonely like always I made it to my class it was musical theatre my favorite class especially since Jake was in it he was in 5 of my classes that I loved jake sat down next to me I started blushing uncontrolably.Hey Jake said.Hi I say blushing.I think I was as red as a tomato.I want to ask you something Jake says.What I ask really curious?? It has to wait can you meet me at Hindley Park Jake asks I'll tell you then??Ya I can but what time I ask?? How about 5 Jake says.Ok I say.My teacher comes into the class she was so nice she was my favorite teacher my class goes silent.Goodmorning class my teachers says.Goodmorning the whole class says including me.We are gonna do a musical for grease there are auditions for the main parts Sandy and Danny in the auditorioum tomorriw after school, my teacher says.You should audition for Sandy and i'll audition for Danny Jake whispers in my ear.My stomach turned and I got butterflies I felt weird.Ok I whisper to jake blushing.The bell rung and I headed to my locker I saw Bella running over weirdly excited for some reason she made it over to her locker and started screeching.What happened I ask your as red as a tomato.Robert asked me to prom Bella says screeching.Really oh my gosh i'm so happy for you Bella, I say happily.Thanks but did Jake ask you yet Bella asked curiously?? No I wish plus I bet he asked someone else I say.I doubt he did and I know he will ask you Bella says.I don't beleive you I say.I know he will ask you Bella says.Ok I say.It was time to go home so me and Bella grabbed our backpacks and headed to her car.I remembered that Jake had something to tell me so I started blushing Bella looked at me.Oh my what is it what happened Bella asked?? Nothing interesting I say.I know its interesting cause your blushing Bella says.Ok fine i'll tell you Jake wants me to meet him at Hindley Park so he can tell me something I say.Oh my he is soo gonna ask you to be his prom date Bella says excitedly!!I doubt it I say.Just you see Bella says.We make it to my house and Bella parks the car in the driveway.See ya later I say.Bye Bella says.I jump out of the car and head to my house I open the door and see that no ones there.DAD I'M HOME I yell!! No answer so I ran upstairs to see if my dad was there but I didn't see anyone where the heck is my dad I think to myself.I went in my backyard to see if my dad was there but he wasn't.I wish I knew where my dad was.Then my necklace started to glow and I went to the kitchen I saw a note.Dear Kayla I know you are probably wondering where I am but you don't need to worry i'm just hanging out with Shauna.-Love Dad.Hanging out with Shauna eeewww the ugly ladies name is Shauna my dad would rather hang out with her than stay home with me I need my dad my mother just died and he is gonna marry another lady just like that doesn't he know this is all weird to me its all just coming to me so much to handle but I can't handle it anymore i'm gonna blow I remember that Jake wanted to meet me at hindley park at 5 so I check the time it was 4:45 oh no I have to go I walk to hindley park which is a 5 min walk I couldn't wait to see Jake I wonder what he wanted to tell me I think to myself I was so excited to know I didn't know what to do I make it to hindley park I look around to see if Jake was there but I didn't see anyone I grab my phone and look at the time 4:52 I was early by 8 min but that didn't matter I put the phone back into my pocket and sat down at the park bench waiting for Jake it felt like it had been hours so I checked my phone 4:59 one more min so I put my phone back in my pocket and waited I looked around to see if Jake was anywhere to be seen I heard a car so I looked over and saw Jake in the car I couldn't help but to blush I think my face was gonna explode well that would be weird I started smiling helplessly Jake hopped out of his car and started walking towards me he was sooo hot.Hey, Jake says.Hi, I say.Jake sat down next to me on the bench my stomach was turning and I was getting butterflies.Are you okay, Jake asks me?? I'm fine, I say buffering a little.Ok, Jake says.So what did you want to tell me, I ask curiously.Oh that um lets take a walk, Jake says.Ok, I say.I get up from the bench and so does Jake we start to walk.So what did you want to talk about, I ask.I was just wondering if you want to go to prom with me, Jake ask me?? I would love to I say excitedly way to excited that I jumped up in the air.Great Jake says.I was was so excited for prom because Jake asked me I forgot about every bad thing that happened to me and all I could think about was Jake.So do you have plans on Friday night, Jake asked me. Um no I don't think so why did you ask, I say.I was just wondering if you wanted to go out with me, Jake says.I would love to I say.Ok great,Jake says.I got startled because Jake's phone started ringing.I didn't listen to his conversation because I was to busy in my thoughts this is the happiest day of my life all the sad and horrible memories I suddenly forgot about I was happy for the first time it was like my mom was still alive I finally came out of my thoughts and heard Jake's last words on the phone I love you he seemed like he was in love I suddenly died inside I thought he liked me I my happy thoughts left me and I was once again the sad and lonely me I wanted to cry.I...iii have to go I say.Kayla don't go, Jake says.I...iiii have to I say.All of a sudden it started to rain oh great not now.I know you don't have to go, Jake says. I started to cry hard I ran away from Jake not even knowing where I was going all of a sudden I felt my arm get pulled I looked over and saw Jake he pulled me over and kissed me oh my gosh Jake just kissed me!!! I like you Kayla, Jake says.I like you too, I say.No I love you, Jake says.You.... you can't love me you have a girlfriend, I say.What are you talking about I don't have a girlfriend, Jake says.I heard you say I love you too the person on the phone, I say.Oh that, that was my mother, Jake says. Oh I feel stupid, I say.Don't I would probably think the exact same thing if you did that, Jake says.Wow I didn't know how to feel about this Jake loved me he actually loved me!!!
