bereaved; greatly saddened at being deprived by death of a loved one.

today was going to be hard, reality is starting to set in and im finding out who im going to be roomed with. mark let me sleep in taehee's room last night so we could talk and catch up.

"you owe me" mark popped his head into taehee and his room. i looked up from my phone, confusion on my face.

"what? you did this willingly" i said, shaking my head, sitting up. taehee chuckled and rolled off her bed, walking to the door to drag him in. he plopped on the bed.

"i had to room with lucas and he wouldnt shut the hell up about you" he said, rolling his eyes. i laughed.

"anyways, i need a smoke. coming?" i asked, referring to taehee. i stood from marks bed and grabbed my pack of cigarettes and lighter.

"yeah, im coming" she got up, kissed marks head and we left the room.

"yeah i love you" we heard him call loudly. i chuckled.

"yeah yeah" she smiled to herself.

we walked down the long hallway, up the stairs and crawled through the ceiling door to get to the roof. we've always loved smoking on roofs, when we were twelve we climbed to the roof of my parents house and smoked our first cigarette together. then when we were thirteen we climbed to the roof of the local roller rink and smoked our first joint together. its just been our thing since we were younger.

"so are you gonna be okay here?" she asked, crossing her legs and leaning on the wall. i lit the cigarette and took a long drag before handing it to her.

"i think so, i mean i miss my family but i think ill be okay here. unless that kid lucas tries something, cause ill break his hand" i chuckled, leaning back. she laughed, shaking her head.

"hes gonna be hella flirty i can tell you that" she said, handing it back.

we talked for about an hour before deciding to head back inside.

"yo, taeyong is looking for you guys" a tall boy with orange hair said, running up to us. he was cute, his face chubby and baby like.

"okay okay, we're on our way. thanks hyuk" taehee said to the boy as he ran off.

"hyuk?" i asked, eyebrows raised. she chuckled.

"haechan, i use his real name sometimes which is donghyuk, hes jaeno's roomie" she said, as we walked up the stairs.

when we arrived to taeyongs office taehee knocked. we waited for his loud voice before we entered.

"what's up tae?" she asked.

"sit" he said, his voice stern. he looked more serious than i've seen him considering his face is permanently serious.

"what's going on?" taehee asked, her voice sounded concerned.

"you two have a mission tomorrow with jaehyun, mark and jungwoo"

"wait, you cant just throw nani into a mission when shes only been here one day and hasnt trained" taehee said, throwing her hands around.

"ill be fine, what is it?" i leaned forward, my elbows coming in contact with my knees.

"well, you two have to act like youre selling drugs to the client, lee jooyoung. mark and jae will take it from there. if there is any problems and the boys cant seem to handle themselves then you two and jungwoo will come back in and do what you need to do" he explained. i nodded.

"okay, what time tomrrow?" taehee asked.

"ill let you know in the morning" was he said before he sent us out.

"who the hell is jungwoo?" i asked, looking over at taehee. she chuckled.

"you dont remember from the meeting?" she said, before she took my wrist in her hand and dragged me off to the stairs. so many damn stairs.

"you know, im already tired of these damn things and honestly i dont remember anyone cause i wasnt really paying attention, theirs too many of you guys" i mumbled as she continued to drag me to wherever she was taking us.

we finally reached the kitchen area. where several boys were scattered around shoving food in their faces. she let go and walked toward a boy with ashy blue hair. i followed behind.

"hey jungwoo, we have a mission together tomorrow so i wanted to properly introduce you guys to each other" she said, sitting down next to the boy. i sat next to her, leaning on the table.

"oh hey, nani right?" he spoke, his voice kind of soft and sweet which did not match his appearance. he had messy hair, thick lips, was covered in tattoos that had absolutely no color to them and he had a nose piercing.

"yeah, nice to meet you" i said, a smile on my face.

"shes cute" he said, nodding at taehee.

"jungwoo" she slapped him lightly on the head. he chuckled and bumped his elbow into her.

"not as cute as you munchkin" he said, making taehee stick her tongue out. i laughed at the two.

"how old are you jungwoo?" i asked, looking at the boy.

"twenty, i just turned twenty a few days ago" he said, smiling.

"ah, happy belated birthday" he nodded.

"you guys are the same year" taehee spoke up, he looked up shocked.

"wait, really?" he asked, his voice raised an octave.

"yeah, im in october" i said, nodding. her clicked his tongue and laughed. "yes, im aware i look like a twelve year old but i kicked jolly green giants ass so"

"oh shit, youre the one lucas has been gawking about" he chuckled, making me roll my eyes.

"okay, well where's jae? i need to talk to him about the mission" taehee said, standing from the table.

"im right here" a voice said behind us. both of us turning around.

"oh hey, we have a mission tomorrow" taehee said. i looked at the boy. jet black hair that hung in his face, a large hoodie hanging on his frame with some addidas pants. his pinky nail was painted yellow, the only color added to him.

"who is this?" he asked, looking me up and down.

"thats nani" jungwoo stood, coming to my side, leaning on my head with his elbow. he was a literal fucking tower.

"ah, so youre the one who's family just got shot up" he said bluntly.

well fuck.

that stung.
