Piper's POV
Yep! Waking up in my dorm room again still half drunk and hungover. Like every Saturday morning for a 20 year-old in college.

But it doesn't make anything easy. For me finding that certain person to be able to drunkenly cry on is hard yet easy. Really, you just try it out at a bar.

I get out of my bed do my (okay jokes aside Piper. You're not fooling anyone.) Yeah. Who am I fooling. I lay in my bed for another 20 minutes. When Percy calls me.

"Hey, I found this cute blonde for your dumb gay self."

"I'm not dumb Jackson. Now pictures."

"Didn't get the chance to grab any. Plus... we're ex's. Didn't want to make anything weird."

"WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO GET ME TO HOOK UP WITH YOUR EX!"

"I'm not setting you up with my ex. It's just you're both gay and lonely so I thought I could help."

"Help me with what Jackson"

"Finding a date. You're lonely. And she'll be perfect for you."

"How!"

"Just wait and see. Look I begged her to meet you at a some stupid coffee shop."

"Can't go to the coffee shop if I don't know the name of the coffee shop."

"Ed's Coffee Shop. Now look I called her ten minutes ago. She said twenty minutes. Got ten minutes to meet her there. And she doesn't like late people."

"Then she's gonna hate me."

"Hurry up. I think you'll really like her."

He hangs up before I can get another word out. I sigh and get ready. After words I look up the coffee shop on my GPS and begin to walk to it. After I realize it's a ten minute walk, I break into a run.

After knowingly being ten minutes late, I stroll into the coffee shop and see her.

Her.

The stupid blonde Percy was talking about.

But he did leave out key information. Like name and (for help) height. So (pretending I'm not sweating and panting like a dog) I walk over to who I think it is and sit down.

THAT'S when she looks at me.

Her eyes are the perfect shade of grey, which can be mistaken as silver. She has a nice build to her. But my God her eyes... just. UGH! I'm getting sidetracked.

"So... you're Piper. Percy's friend." She doesn't look me in the eyes, mostly paying attention to her laptop.

"Yeah. Sorry I was late. Percy gave me heads up last minutes."

She laughs, softly. "Did he tell you I don't like late people?"

"Something along those lines."

She sighs. "That would be incorrect." She finally looks up at me. "Oh... wow. Your eyes... there." She looks away from me. Almost like she's startled. "Um... what was I saying?"

"You were talking about my eyes."

She looks around frantically. "Before that."

"How Percy said you don't like late people."

"Oh yeah. That's a lie. Wow, you're a great listener."

"So I've been told."

Her phone rings, she turns it off at leans in closer to me. "Maybe Percy is right for once."

We end up talking for at least three hours. Then Annabeth, which is her name, says she has to go for one of her classes. We decide to leave each other with a simple hug. (She even buys me a coffee, which was much needed.) Before she walks out she turns around to see me.

"Oh, if ya need anyone to drunkenly cry on. I'm here for ya. Because I've been there and back again Piper McLean. Trust me, get off this stupid road you're on... you'll be better off."

She turns around and walks into the snowing streets of New York. Leaving me confused, scared, and desperately wanting a kiss from the blondie.

Special thanks to @Howtolookgood for really kicking me off and inspiring me to write a Pipabeth fanfic of my own.
