Thalia's Point Of View.
"Thalia, Mrs. Martinez is here and would like to speak to you!" Mum yelled from downstairs, Mrs Martinez is my next-door neighbour.
"Okay, I'll be down in a second!" I yelled back as I placed my phone down on my desk and made my way downstairs to the front door.
"Hi, Mrs. Martinez. How can I help you?" I asked her and smiled at her.
"Hello, Thalia I was wondering if you were available tonight to watch Liliana whilst I'm at work?" asked Mrs Martinez politely.
"Yes, I'm available to watch Liliana tonight. What time would you like me to be there, and what time will you be home tonight?" I asked Mrs. Martinez.
"I was wondering if you would be able to come over as soon as possible. It will be a late night at the office tonight, so if you'd like, you can stay over at mine," replied Mrs. Martinez.
"Okay, well, I'll go get myself ready and I'll be over in a few minutes," I said to Mrs. Martinez
"Okay, I'll see you in a few oh and Andres will be there tonight," she said with a mischievous glint in her eye. "If he causes any trouble, just slap some sense into him," Mrs Martinez added, her playful tone bringing a smile to both of our faces as I nodded in agreement.
"Okay, I'll keep that in mind," I replied, giving Mrs. Martinez a knowing look.
"Well, I'll see you soon. Bye, darling," Mrs. Martinez said as she turned around and left, her heels clicking against the floor.
I made my way back up the stairs to my bedroom, the soft carpet muffling my footsteps. I carefully selected a change of clothes for the next day, envisioning the activities ahead. A pair of comfortable pyjamas caught my eye, and I neatly folded them into my bag. Next, I reached for my toiletries bag, ensuring that all my essentials were packed. Satisfied with my preparations, I made my way out the front door, the cool breeze greeting me as I walked next door and rang the doorbell.
Andres opened the door, his casual attire exuding effortless charm. Clad in grey sweats and a white T-shirt that accentuated his toned physique, he flashed a grin and playfully eyed me up and down, a hint of anticipation in his gaze.
"Are you done eyeing me up?" I jokingly asked Andres, noticing his signature smirk. I couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious in my black cropped tank and pink silk shorts.
"No, not yet," Andres smirked, his intense gaze making my cheeks flush with heat.
"Well, too bad. I've decided you're done," I playfully retorted as I breezed past him, leaving him to close the door and head into the living room.
"Thalia!" Liliana exclaimed excitedly as soon as she caught sight of me.
"Lily!" I called back, lifting her and enveloping her in a warm hug. "I've missed you, little miss. How have you been?" I asked her.
"I've been good. How about you, Thalia?" Liliana inquired.
"I'm great, especially now that I get to see you, little miss," I replied with a smile. "Now, what do you think we should make for dinner?" I asked Liliana.
"Ooh, we should make spaghetti for dinner!" Lilian said, her face lighting up at the thought of preparing her favourite meal.
"Alright, well, I'm going up to my room. Let me know if you need anything, and give me a heads up when dinner is ready," Andres said, catching himself before finishing his sentence and making his way up the stairs.
"Okay Lily let's go make dinner," I said to Liliana, and she ran into the kitchen and put on the little apron that she got in her toy kitchen set. It was a pink apron with tiny white polka dots, and she looked adorable in it.
