Chapter 10

seeing as it was Friday Draco and Hermione had the whole weekend which they both agreed they would rather spend with each other rather than with anyone else.

After Hermiones particularly aweful experience Draco had been comforting and listened to whatever she had to say to him. Hermione had to say that over the past few weeks draco had continued to suprise her with how kind or compationate he coul be and also how charming.

He had not mocked her or even said a word about th kiss they had shared in the abondoned classroom, he had just been the friend she needed.

Not to Hermione's suprise, Harry had been avoiding her more often. She suspected Ron had told him a twisted version of event that would involve her becoming crazy and Draco taking advantage of her.

They, Hermione and Harry, had met in the room of requirements so that she could explain what had happened in the classroom but he had been distant and not really listening to her.

She had alsways thought that Harry would be her best friend for life but it seems he had turned his back on her and taken to Rons version of events.

It's funny, Hermione thought, but Draco is being a better friend than Harry had ever been. Sure she loved Harry half to death and would probably forgive him if he came around and saw what she was saying, but she didn't really think it would ever be the same for them.

Draco and Hermione were lounging around in the common room talking about numerous subjects such as Hemrione's hate for flying and Draco's love for it.

" I swear Hermione, you will fly a broom and enjoy it if it's the last thing i do "

" Well unless you want to be growing a particularly revolting fungus on your face or finding your toes turning green i wouldn't try "

" Green isn't so bad, it is the color of Slytherin after all " Draco smirked

" I can always go for red "

" Not funny Granger "

" Back to last names are we Malfoy? "

" Only when your threating to color my toes " They smiled at each other

Just then a paper bird flew in though an open wind and came to a stop in front of Hermione's face. she plucked it out of the air and unfolded it carefully.

Whats going on mione?

Ron and Harry won't tell me why your not around

Meet me in the room of requirements in 15 minutes

You better be there

Ginny

Hemrione frowned, she would have thought that Ron and Harry would have told them their version of the story. Apparently not. She hadn't noticed Draco getting up and coming over to read over her shoulder until she felt his breath on her neck.

" Better get going Mione " he mimicked Ginny's voice using her nickname

She whacked him on the shoulder and poked out her tong before getting up and exiting the common room draco calling out and smiling as she left

" Very mature Granger "

Ginny was waiting as promised in the room of requirments when Hermione walked in. Still muttering under her breath about Draco.

" Hermione! "

Ginny dramatically threw herself at Hermione as she came towards her.

" Whats going on with you? I havn't seen you in what seems like forever, Harry and Ron told me about Ferret boy. Is it true? "

" whoah Gin just calm down. What exactly have Harry and Ronald told you? "

" Your calling Ron 'Ronald' that can't be a good sign. They told me that you are dating Malfoy "

" Well..."

Hermione suprised herself when she had to think about whether she was dating Draco or not. He had been a person she had never know he could possibly for the last few weeks and if she was honest with herself Hermione knew that she enjoyed his company more than anyone elses at the moment. And with that though in mind Hermione answered Ginny comfidently.

" Yeah Gin I'm dating him but theres no need to freaak out ok? "

To Hermione's utmost disbelief Ginny just grinned back as if not a thing in the world was out of place or out of the ordinary, which was exactly what the situation was.

" I always knew that you and Malfoy had a thing for each other "

" I'm sorry, what did you just say?! " Hermione demanded

" I think you know exactly what im talking about mione "

" I'm absolutly, possitivley sure I have no idea what your trying to tell me " Hermione cried

" Well, there has always been that forbidden love with you and Draco, seriously I swear to God that you could see the sexual tension betw- "

" WHAT!!?? " Hermione screamed " What do you mean 'sexual tension' What on this earth would make you say that "

" Hermione calm down, everybody knows, everybody knew something was going on with you two. And dont pretent you havn't liked him long before this day. Because we all saw the way you looked at him, believe me on this one. "

" Well this had been an interesting conversation " Hemrione muttered bitterly

What had she gotten herself into? Malfoy would never agree to date her, even if it wasn't real. Hermione shook her head and then after hugging her friend goodbye she started her walk back to the Heads common room.

Sorry this isnt a very long chapter, it's been really hard to find time to write this so please dont be mad at me.
