I lay there in the grass while I looked up at the beautiful blue sky, the wind blowing my crimson hair into a wild mess but I didn't care. It really was a beautiful world if you look close enough, really close. Past the people, the crimes, the heartbreak. You just really have to look to be able to see.
"ZORA!"
I shook, startled by the sudden burst of energy that came running towards me, "Eva, you have got to stop sneaking up on me like that." I got up and dusted myself off, fixing out the emerald dress that I was currently wearing as I walked over to my little sister. I gave her a quick hug and motioned for her to sit by me as I started to braid her long brown hair, "you really do look like her you know." She only shrugged in response before she spoke.
"What was she like?"
"Do you mean mother?" She nodded, "well, she was kind, free spirited, and she would always make sure that we were loved and cared for."
Eva looked up at me, blinking back the tears that she was trying so desperately to keep back, "I miss her," she said softly.
"Me too."
I kissed her on the forehead before I got up and looked down the hill where our village was below. I sighed, "well, we should probably start heading back now," she nodded. We then started toward the village to do our duties as princesses.

I lunged at Ryland with the sword but he dodged it and fought back twice as hard, knocking me down in the process, aiming his weapon straight at my chest. He had won.
I let out a long sigh before congratulating him, "well done," I then gave him a wink before strutting away.
I was done with my training for the day, now was the time to find Aria, not only one of my loyal ladies but also one of my best friends since birth.
Her mother was close to mine which is how we met.
I made my way to the stables, which is most likely where she'll be considering her love for horses.
As I entered, I saw a big black horse dashing towards me, just as I was about to move out of the way, a boy who looked to be just about my age, jumped in to be "my hero" and successfully pushed me out of the way landing on top of me, our faces only inches apart.
I got chills down my spine, "hi, I'm—"
"Woah there buddy boy, I don't know who you think you are but I am more then capable to take care of myself, think you very much," just as he was about to say something else I cut him off yet again.
"Now can you please get off of me."
"Zora, is that you?"
I recognized that voice, I immediately got up off of the ground and dusted myself off, before running towards Aria. "I've missed you so much," I said.
"I've missed you too, I hated being in a different country away from my best friend, it sucked."
We both laughed.
"Well, at least we're together now," she nodded. "So I see you've met the stable boy," now it was my turn to nod.
"Well, you don't look so pleased, what happened?"
I shook my head, "nothing but let's head to your chambers to catch up and make up for lost time, deal?
"Of course."
We started heading towards her place and as I tuned back around to catch a quick glance at the mystery guy, we locked eyes and it felt as if there was a whole other world in his eyes.
It felt, safe.
As I turned back around to catch up with Aria, I just couldn't stop thinking about him and what his name could be.
All I could say now, is that I could not wait to find out.
