I ran as fast as I could to get away from the house. I hate everything about it. all the bad memories of being beat by my father, after he comes home dunk. My mother no better than that drunken fool. but after my mother died his beating become worse. he'd hit and kick me yelling over and over that it's my fault that she died. I couldn't take it any more . after this last beating I just snapped I didn't mean to he just.... I just.... I know I won't be back after that. after he went to hit me again I grabbed the beer bottle and hit him over the head . I didn't do it on purpose , I swear! but after he went down I knew if I didn't leave then and he woke up I would never see the light of day again for I would surely be killed by him like he did my mother.

I ran as far as I could before I had to stop and take a breath continuing only to stop and hide in a nearby alley way. as the cops had speed past my hiding spot I decide it would be better to stay off the road . I adjust the one bag I had Barely enough time to pack , stuffed with only a few outfits and food along with the handgun my dad kept hidden in his nightstand with about four extra bullets.

It's been about three hours since I left I found my way into the shadows district. ( there are four districts. rose district being the highest, richest and most eloquent district and then bellow rose is the high district where people are not so rich but not poor and have to work to live, this being the district i was living in and then there's the district I'm in now called the shadows district being the lowest district where the thieves and bums and gangs are and also run always such as me go. but here no one will have to worry for the police because they won't come in here since the last incident where a squad came in but never came out). I find an empty beat down apartment complex that looks safe enough to stay in for the night. I go to the door only to find it boarded up so I have to look for away in great. after circling the building twice I finally see an open window on the second floor.' wow how did u not see this the first time,stupid'.seeing a tree so conveniently placed so close to the open window I decide this will be my way in. it took me about seven try's just to get up the damn tree! I mean Geese I suck wow just wow! finally once up to the window I figure if anyone's ganna be there then they clearly already now I'm here from my epic fail of tree climbing but just in case I look inside at a safe distance. deciding its safe to enter I slowly climb through. once through I take in my surroundings. it looks as though I'm in a , living room ? Anyway I decide to look around being the curious guy I am . I open a door to my right that I think leads to a bathroom. after looking around in the bathroom and finding nothing I decide to check another room which I believe leads to a bedroom but before I could open the door I hear a loud shattering sound and a voice that follows saying what I believe to be the word shit. panicking I grab the gun from my bag and brace my self for what is to come when I open the door.
