It's been a month since the kiss and Shane and Ryland hadn't talked since. Mostly because when it happened Ryland was drunk. Or so shane thought

Basically what happened was after the kiss Ryland fell in the pool and acted drunk to get the illusion that he didn't mean to say those things. And on Monday shane asked Ryland if he was drunk.

"Hey Ryland!" Shane said as he went up to Ryland smiling. "Oh hey Shane." Ryland said getting the rest of his books. "Hey so where you drunk on Saturday?" Shane asked. "Oh um, probably." He said as they laughed. "Oh uh ok. Do you uh Remember what happened between us?" Shane asked. "Um no, sorry, was it important?"
"Oh uh, no, not really." Shane said as the stood in silence as the bell rang.

It was now a month since it happened and Ryland was going to tell shane. He was super scared, which is why he pretended to forget about it.

"Hey Shane." Ryland said walking up to Shanes locker. "Oh uh hey Ryland." Shane said sadly. Shane had been sad this past month, no one knew why, he just disconnected from the group. He almost seemed broken, which made sense because he thought Ryland liked him. But what shane didn't know was Ryland did like him, a lot actually.

"Long time no see." Ryland said trying to cheer shane up. "Yeah." He said. "So um, do you what to skip 2nd period?"Ryland asked. Shanes face almost lit up, but only few people could tell. "Why?" He asked. "Just to talk, catch up." Ryland said smiling. "Sure, why not, fuck it." Shane said half smiling, which made Rylands day one million percent better, he loved Shanes smile, especially his laugh. He loved the little snorts in between his laughs, he thought it was adorable, he thought shane was adorable.

After shane put up all of his stuff him and Ryland ditched school. They went to a little diner down the street and ate. They both ordered burgers, but Shanes had everything on it and Rylands had no onions and they both got chocolate sakes. "So how have you been?" Shane asked. "I like you." Ryland said, he couldn't hide it in anymore. "What?" Shane asked. "I really really really like you." Ryland said. "I thought you had a crush on some other guy." Shane said confused on why someone would like him. "That guy is you, I wasn't drunk that night we kissed. I meant everything i said, i was just scared." Ryland said nervous as hell. "I would storm off right now like those dramatic movies, but I really really really like you too." Shane said smirking. "Well thats good." Ryland said. "So you wanna get out of here?" Shane asked. "yeah" Ryland said as him and shane walked out holding hands.
