Clarence-
I've been back home for a week now and on the way to see my moms. I knew if i told her about the situation i'm in, she'd beat my ass. But I needed the best advice possible. I was falling for Avery and I wanted to see if she was the right one or if i was moving too fast with this whole relationship thing.
I walked up the steps of my moms house and knocked on the door. When she opened the door, she engulfed me in the tightest 'I missed you hug' ever. She invited me in and had two cups of tea on the coffee table. She already knew wassup.
"Okay, so what's the tea son?" She said while drinking out of her custom made Wendy Williams mug.
"Well ma, I really like this girl." I said scratching the back of my neck.
"And where did you meet her?" She said, putting her cup down.
"I met her in Philly, on my business tri-"
"You were there for a week... do you really know this girl? Do you know what her dreams and aspirations are? Do you know her parents name? Or even her middle name?"
"I know but-"
"Most importantly.. do you feel like she's the one?" she said cutting me off.
I was out of words, but understood what my mom was saying. It was still too early to tell if she was the right one. I sat back thinking if i should tell her about the situation with Chanel... nope.
"I'm glad your thinking about settling down son. I need some grand babies soon" She said laughing while going to clean her mug. I could only laugh and shake my head.
My phone began to ring and it was an incoming facetime call from Avery. I looked at my mom to make sure it was okay from me to answer, she simply nodded her head and fanned me away from her. I walked into the kitchen and finally answered the phone.
"Heyyy!" She said, I seen that she was in a outside area with bags in her hand.
"Where you headed?" I said scanning her surroundings because they looked hella familiar.
She smiled hard and flipped her camera to show The Plaza Hotel.
"I'm here for family emergencies, my cousin is sick." She said in a sad tone. This was a perfect opportunity to get to be with her some more.
"Don't even go into the hotel babe, stay with me at my crib, you good."I said. I was totally fine with sharing my place with her. "Look, i'm about to leave my moms and imma pick you up. send me you location." I continued while approaching my mom with and hug and a kiss. Avery replied with a simple 'okay' then hung up the phone.
"Where you breaking your neck to Clarence?" My mom asked, noticing me rushing.
"Oh, sorry Avery is in town for family emergencies and i offered her to stay with me. So i'm about to pick her up."
"Look at you taking apond responsibilities already. Make sure you bring that girl by to meet me before she leaves." My mom said while pushing me out the house.
I was now on the way to get Avery and we needed something fun to do tonight.
