Chapter 1

"That's the 5th girl to turn in herself today" Jimin said while holding his coffee looking at the unbothered man sitting across him

"I know"

"Dude, you really are something. Do you even know the reason why those girls surrendered?"

"Nah." the other answered while lazily reading the book on his hands

"Woah. Man, it's beacause of you. They turned theirselves in because of you and you're really just brushing it off?" Jimin asked in a stunned tone

"Well, isn't it a good thing cause it helps lessen the amount of crime that's happening to the city?" The other anwered while jimin just looked at him in a weird way

"Besides it's not my fault that I'm that attractive that even criminals come after me you know" He added

"Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin yelled

"Ha. Just kidding. It doesn't matter hyung. As long as I could keep my words and help lessen the crime in the city"

Jimin just smiled at his colleague's thought while sipping his coffee

Before their conversation could even continue, a knock sound could be heard throughout their whole office room

Both men stood up immediately after seeing the man who is now standing infront of them. Both now having a straightened posture with their hands clasped behind their back and their laid back expression now turning to a serious one

"Good Evening Chief" Both men greeted the higher-ranked police infront of them their chins up and their tone serious

"Good Morning boys" The man nodded considering their greeting. "I just came by to inform you that you both will be the one in charge to take a patrol later this night"

"Yes Sir" Both answered

"I hope you guys do a great job. Let's help each other to lessen the number of crimes that has occured in our city" he added

"I trust you on this guys, especially you, son"

Jungkook's eyes widened slightly surprised by the chief's sudden addressing

Jungkook slightly bowed his head "Uh. Thank you sir"

"Keep safe"

"Will do sir"

The two policeman has been going around the city in their car monitoring everything and keeping theirselves alert in case anything bad happens

"Ok. This is kinda boring like there's really nothing that's happening here. We're wasting our time." Jimin complained while tapping his fingers on the car's steering wheel

Jungkook who's seated beside him also released a soft sigh silently agreeing to Jimin's statement

Duties like these aren't very hard for policemen to do especially when the only thing you have to do is to keep the people safe for the city to be safe too but it's not the same for Jungkook's view

Growing up, he had never witnessed any crime. He have never experienced  a normal childhood. He wasn't able to make friends at school, visit a friend's house and even have his first love. Instead, he was homeschooled and forced to take participation in several physical activities at the young age of 11.

But despite that he had no complaints. The only thing that mattered to him was to make his parents proud. Having both of your parents as police is a heavy pressure for him. There's an imaginary bar above that he had to reach in order to have his own life desires.

"Hey, are you listening?"

Jungkook snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing jimin talking to him. He turned to look at him with slightly wide eyes "Sorry, I got lost for a sec"

"I said, we can stop at some nearby food stalls to eat, you ok with that?"

"Oh. Yeah sure. I'm starving" Jimin laughed at Jungkook's weirdness his eyes turning into the shape of crescent moons and his nose slightly scrunched "You're so weird man"
