Taehyung thought of it happening in many different ways. Maybe a grand ceremony with himself professing his undying love for Jeongguk in the name of a classic ballad, but Jimin said that one was too far fetched.

Then he mentioned the idea of hosting an almost ball like party, where he'd make an entrance and capture everyone's attention only to focus on Jeongguk and kiss him in front of everybody. A little too Disney for Jimin's taste.

(Not like it matters since it's his relationship. Thank you very much.)

He did not think, however, that it would happen like this:

The boys were all seated around the front room, Jimin laying his head on Yoongi's lap meanwhile Yoongi acts like he cannot stand the situation he's in but the small smile on his face says otherwise.

Taehyung has his legs on top of a Jeongguk's thighs, the younger massaging his feet absentmindedly while they watch some random show that came on.

Jin is running his fingers through Hoseok's hair since he was busy whining about the fact that he's single while Namjoon just glares at the two, clearly wanting his boyfriends attention.

It's all quiet until Jimin breaks the silence with a question that singlehandedly changed everything: "Are you two dating yet?"

At first, it takes Taehyung and Jeongguk a moment to realize that he's asking them. The brunette glares at his pink haired friend that is looking smug at them both. "What?"

Jeongguk stops massaging his feet. The look on his face turns into his signature OJO face. If Taehyung wasn't so focused on his suddenly clammy hands or his rapidly beating heart, he would've called him out on acting cute.

Unfortunately for the both of them, he seems unable to speak as of right now.

"That's a good question." Jeongguk finally says after an awkward, long few minutes of nothing but quiet.

Taehyung bites his lip nervously.

"Tae?" Jeongguk places a careful hand on the elders thigh. An innocent touch only to calm his nerves.

"We haven't talked about it yet..." Taehyung says. "I want to, though. Talk about it, I mean. And be boyfriends. Talking first, though, because that's how it goes. So, yeah. We haven't talked about it."

The room falls silent again. Jesus, this is so awkward. Thankfully, they all drag their attention back to the show but Jeongguk is focused solely on the boy beneath him. He moves to wear he's laying beside Taehyung, the other boy looking at him with wide eyes. Cute.

Jeongguk smirks down at him, "Did you say you want to?"

Taehyung blushes, biting his lip. Jeongguk's eyes follow the movement and he exhales. All he wants to do right now is kiss him. He wants to kiss him for minutes, hours, a lifetime.

"Baby, I need to know what you're thinking right now." Jeongguk whispers only for the two of them to hear. They don't know this yet, but Jimin is secretively watching them feeling proud of himself for giving them that extra push they needed. "I know what I want, and I think I know what you want. I just need you to tell me."

"You won't laugh at me?" The brunette mutters. His fingers trace lazy circles through Jeongguk's shirt.

"I promise not to laugh."

Taehyung huffs, "I want to be boyfriends and run off in the sunset together."

Jeongguk stares blankly at him. He wasn't going to laugh. He was specifically asked not to do such a thing. Yet, here he is holding back a huge fit of giggles. Both out of happiness and due to the way he worded it.

"Don't laugh."

"I'm not, baby," Jeongguk lets out a small chuckle unable to help himself. Taehyung punches his chest weakly. "I'm sorry. You're so cute!"

The elder rolls his eyes.

"Taehyung, I want the same thing. Be my damn boyfriend already. Let's do this." Jeongguk suddenly says with the most determination he's had in months. And that's when Taehyung stands up, that big boxy smile on his face, yelling very loud in the very quiet room making everyone jump including Jeongguk, "Ladies and gentlemen!"

Jimin looks around the room. "There's literally no ladies in here."

"Don't interrupt." Jeongguk snaps.

"I have an important announcement!" Taehyung continues. "Jeongguk and myself are dating now. We're going to run off in the sunset together!"

Jeongguk chuckles, grabbing hold of Taehyung's slim hand that was dangling in front of him just asking to be held. "Which means you all can stop meddling in our business."

Jimin stands up and points at the younger, "If I wasn't meddling then this never would have happened! I think I deserve a thank you!"

The brunette ignores the two of them and just plops right on top of his boyfriend — holy shit, he can get used to saying that fuck fuck fuck — and snuggling into his warmth.

"Gross." Yoongi mutters. However, the second Jimin sits on his lap and lays his head in the crook of his neck, he seems to have no qualms with public displays of affection.

Jeongguk mumbles incoherent words next to Taehyung's ear and he strains to hear what his boyfriend is saying. And when he does, his heart expands a few dozen sizes: "Kim Taehyung is my boyfriend. Kim Taehyung is my boyfriend. Kim Taehyung is my—"

The elder cuts of his chant by kissing him on his soft lips. They melt into each other almost immediately, Jeongguk holding onto him possessively. Now that they've made things official, the dark haired male already has troubles letting him go too far. He just wants him close always.

Jeongguk kisses his cheeks, his jaw, and sucks a love bite on Taehyung's soft, golden skin where his shoulder meets his neck. They nearly forget that there's other people in the room until they get hit with a ton of throw pillows.

"Not on the couch!" Jin yells.

"Show your mother some manners," Namjoon mumbles. He gets kicked (softly because Jin can't hurt his baby) for that.

"I feel even more alone," Hoseok says quietly. Jin holds onto him tighter whispering reassurances in his ear.
