There once was a girl named Hailey, she was one of the most popular girls in her school. As every popular girl she was a cheerleader with the greatest life anyone could ask for. At least that's what everyone thought. Little did anyone know, she had just lost her grandma. That grandma meant everything to her she was Hailey's biggest fan and supported her with everything. Hailey didn't want to show that anything was wrong so she hid her pain.

One day it was to much to hide, so she got into her car and broke down crying. Before she could drive away she heard a knock from her neighbor who used to be her best friend but drifted apart when going into high school. Not because of popularly but because Regina turned out being gay and Hailey didn't know what to do so she stopped hanging out with her and they stopped talking.

Hailey unlocked the car and Regina got into the car. Regina opened her mouth to speak but only to close it again not knowing what to say. Suddenly Hailey started the car and drive away. Regina finally found her words and said "Where are we going?" Hailey didn't reply just drived as tears streamed down her face.

They pulled up to an overview of the water and a great view of their southern California town. Hailey got out and Regina closely followed. They got out an sat down on cliff overlooking the sea. After sitting in silence for some time Regina said, "What's wrong? How can I help you?"

" You can't, I just need time, and a shoulder to cry on." Regina was surprised when she felt Hailey's embrace.

"I'll alway be here for you." Regina reached over and hugged her back.

"I'm so sorry for being such a shitty friend all these years."

"Your fine, I get it but I'm so glad we are back to being friends." They sat there catching up until it dark and decided to leave. They got home and Regina waved as she entered her house hoping that they would stay friends after tonight. Hailey took her last deep breath and walked into her house. There waited her parents expecting a reason why so was out so late. Hailey explained and ran up to her room thinking about the things they talked about. She couldn't wait to talk to her more and learn more about the person she was reconnecting with.
