Chapter 6

Jasmine

"Where are you taking us?" I'm starting to get worried but I trust him.

"Oh somewhere fun!" Liam said very excitedly. I give him an 'are you crazy' look. "What! Do I have something on my face?" He asked nervously. I laugh.

"N- I mean yes," I say with a smile on my face. "Let me get that for you." I lean over the middle storage compartment in the car and kiss his cheek.

"Hey! I didn't have anything on my face did I?" Liam says while looking in the mirror. I laugh hard.

"Gotcha!" I yell while laugh still.

"Eww! Mommy! Don't kiss Leeyum!" Skylar said very loud. I smile.

"Well you will pay!" Liam said while his arm started to slowly reach over the compartment towards my stomach.

"No! Stay away from me!" I scream as I slide my whole body as close to the car door as possible. He starts to tickle my stomach hard and I laugh so hard I start to snort and I can't breath from laughing so much. "Stop!" I can't stop laughing. He stops for a split second and continues hard core. I hear Skylar laughing at me.

"Admit it! Or I won't stop!" Liam says loud so I can hear him while laughing. My eyes go wide.

"No! I never will!" I breathed out as I continue to laugh hard.

"Fine! I'm not stopping then!" Liam yelled. My eyes go wide. I gave him the death stare.

"Never!" I yell. He continues and my side is now starting to really hurt. Maybe I should admit it. No! I will not! He hits one of my bruises, I cringe. My eyes water.

"Oh god! Jazz! Are you okay?" Liam asks worried as he stops tickling me.

"You hit one of my bruises," I said softly while my eyes were screwed shut tightly to stop me from crying. I feel a tear go down my cheek. I feel Liam's thumb wipe it away.

"Oh love, I'm so sorry." Liam said sadly.

"Is mommy okay?" Skylar said softly. I nod.

"Yeah honey, I will" Liam looks at me with concern. I mouth the words 'I'm fine' and he mouths back 'I'm sorry'. To make him feel less quilty I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers. I smile, and he smiles back.

"Where are we going Leeyum?!" Skylar whines.

"You will see when we get there." Liam says while smiling. Skylar huffs. Gosh, I hope it better be good. Because I got so tired of staying in the motel.

I hope Skylar and Jasmine like this place. As we pull up to Memphis Kiddie Park, I look at Jasmine and she smiles really big. I smile back.

"Ahhhhh!!!" Skylar yells. I jump in my seat when as she screams excitedly seeing all the rides. "I wanna ride that one and that one, oh! And that one!" while pointing at different rides.

"Oh my god, Liam! You rented this whole place out? How could you afford this!!" Jasmine says shocked. I look at her with a wide smile.

"I have my ways. Plus I'm Liam Payne, a sensational band member, who did, I mention, is quite handsome too." I said while grinning cheeky. Jasmine scuffs. "What?"

"I don't believe the handsome part" Jasmine says. I can tell she is teasing me.

"Hurtful!" I say while putting my hand on my heart and fake sob.

"Oh my god! Liam! I know you're handsome!" Jasmine starts saying back. "I never meant to hurt your feelings." I smile at her. "You are such a fake!" She slaps my chest.

"Oi! Why did you do that?" I asked her.

"You deserved that!" She smiles at me, and I quickly peck her on the lips.

"Lets go! Less kissing, more fun rides!" Skylar said excitedly. I cannot believe she said that! Never thought she was that smart, but I guess 4 year olds can be smarter than you think.

Throughout the day we were riding so many rides we had to stop for a little bit, but Skylar didn't want to stop! So she is on a mini roller coaster and Jasmine and I are sitting under a tree watching her. I have my arm around her waist and she is leaning into my shoulder. I close my eyes to enjoy this moment. "So what was it like?" I asked curious.

"What?"

"I probably shouldn't bring it up, but what was your relationship with Dimitri like?" After I said his name she cringed. This might have been a bad idea.

"I don't want to talk about it." She says coldly.

"You don't have to be specific." A tear starts to fall down her cheek. Shit. I should have never brought this up. Today was suppose to be a fun day and yet I ruined it. "Nevermind. I don't want to upset you."

"He was so.... sweet, so kind, and caring. He was so lovable, dreamy. Everyones dream guy." She says softly, while her eyes watered up. "He started to turn into monster. I didn't notice because my love for him shielded my eyes from the monster inside. He turned forceful, and violent. Mean, cruel, and mad. An alcoholic. A druggie. A madman. A vicious, lashing, monster. Abusive..." she crumbled, crying her eyes out. Screaming his name for him to leave her forever. She broke. Her entire heart shattered before my eyes. She cried until she had no voice, until she was empty. Thats what Dimitri did to her. Destroyed her, emptying her until she couldn't do anything. Seeing the scars that he left. Marking her. Making her his 'property'. Permanently marking her. She continues to scream his name, but she was too empty to even make a sound.
