Wolves

'They're following me I got to get away' I thought to myself.

I could feel it, someone or something is following me.

I stopped abruptly and turned back really fast but didn't see anything.

I started walking fast and could hear some footsteps behind me and I was very sure it wasn't just one person.

I started running and could hear them change to their wolf form so it'll be easy to get me.

At this point we had ended up in the forest. And I was getting scared by the moment.

I could hear them they were getting closer to me so I picked up my pace and ran even faster.

Until I felt my human body couldn't take it anymore, but I had to escape so I shifted into my wolf and started running.

I knew they were still following me but they were far behind, but I knew they would catch up soon.

I ran like my life depends on it,I kept running in circles so as to confuse them.

I kept running and running until I reached a cliff and  stopped and  looked back to see if they had already caught up with me.

And my hunch was right they had surrounded me so there was no where to turn.

So it was either them or the hills, I just looked at them.

'You'll never be able to catch me' I said and jumped from the hills.

As I fell down my head landed on a rock and I lost consciousness.

               *The next day *

I woke up with a pounding headache and as soon as I touched my scalp I could feel something sticky and wet.

I stood up and scanned my environment in search of water.

'My throat is so dry, my head is bleeding and my body is aching so much.

'Thank the moon goddess' I said as soon as I located a lake.

After I was refreshed I roamed around in search of food.

'I've never felt so hungry before'.

I couldn't find any food so I just settled on eating fruit.

After some time I was so tired I fell asleep.

            *After some hours*
I woke up and went back to the hills with hope that I'll be able to climb out.

I tried and tried but I couldn't I was so close to giving up but I didn't.

I tried again then I was able to climb out of the hill

'Who are you?' a voice said and I stood glued to the spot.

'I said who are  you?' The voice said again.

Then I turned slowly and smiled nervously,and I ran.

'Oww,what the heck' I said as soon as my head hit a tree.

I looked up slowly and saw the last person I was expecting to see.

'Mate' my wolf said. He looked at me and I couldn't stop myself from blushing.

'My little Angel' he said with regret.

'I'm sorry I couldn't wait for you, couldn't be with you when you needed me,but please forgive me' he said in a pleading voice.

I quickly pushed him away as I remembered all those time which turned to days and those to months then years.

Then I heard a loud sound and saw that I had slapped him. It w like my hands had a mind of its own.

'I hate you' I said with hatred and emotions in my voice.

'Don't say that my angel please don't' he pleaded.

'You left me without saying anything to me, at a tender age I felt insecure and unsure, you know why?'I asked.

'No' he said shaking his head.

'Because I thought maybe I wasn't beautiful, maybe I was too childish, maybe I was too girly, I lost all my childhood days, I couldn't make a childhood memories. And you expect me to forgive you?' I said.

'Please Eva forgive me I know I hurt you but please still think about the fact that we are still mates' he said slowly.

'Never! I will never forgive you nor will I forget all the pain you inflicted on me' I said in tears.

'Please forgive me' he pleaded with tears shining in his eyes, but my mind was made up already.

'You were my first love,now I know what they say is true your first love always will be filled with heartbreak' I said still in tears.

'No don't say that ' he said in pain.

'You left me first now I think its my turn to leave you' I said in finality.

'Goodbye mate until we meet again' I said then kissed him for the last time.

Then I shifted and ran but I stopped and looked back to see him on his knees crying.

Then I whimpered softly and howled sadly.

Then I ran faster than I've ever ran knowing in mind that I'll never see my mate again.
