Zayn's POV

I woke up and rubbed my eyes as everything that happened from yesterday flooded in and that's where i remembered I left my penny board at Harry's house

I got up quickly and changed and headed out without telling anyone I ran to their house which was quite far away but I ran as fast as I could

When I reached I was panting loudly as I rang the doorbell "hey ...who are you kid?" I heard someone say I looked up to see a man with light brown Caramel hair "um have you seen my Penny board it is black with red wheels" I asked "oh yeah I did , come in"he invited as I thought of how many people lived in this house "Lou who's that" I heard another unfamiliar voice said "it's the boy Liam and Harry keep talking about" the guy named Lou I Guess said "hey I'm Niall" he Said coming over and bending to my height "I'm Zayn" I said shyly "aww that's cute I'm Louis by the way" and I nodded and looked around for my penny board

"Oh your board is in the living room" Niall said and walked to the living room with me following Him i bit my nails as I thought of how mad Ashton , Calum ,Michael and Luke is going to be when I get home "don't bite your nails baby" I heard Niall say as he pulled my hand away from my mouth "why you biting them?" He asked "I'm scared My foster parents are going to be mad when I go back because I didn't tell them I was going out" I said "it's okay I'll bring you back yeah?" He assured and I nodded as he handed me my penny board I wanted to bite my nails again at the thought of what happened the last time I didn't tell them I went out it was bad not that they spanked me or anything I'm just a little sensitive boy so I get depressed in my room while I was grounded and cried my eyes out everyday until Ashton found out and ungrounded me that just made me feel more helpless

I looked down as I teared up "aww don't cry" he said as he picked me up and I wiped away a tear "I'm scared" I sniffled as Niall wipes the other tear away "don't be you'll be fine"he said in his thick Irish voice I sniffled again as Niall brought me to his car and buckled me in . He got in the Drivers seat and started driving I Guess Liam told the boys where i lived

I kept shifting uncomfortably in the passengers seat as Niall drove "hey don't be upset it's fine" he said to me not taking his eyes of the road but I just looked out the window as we reached home he parked the car and got out before unbuckling me and carrying me to the front door why do people keep carrying me I'm 8 for God's sake I mean I look like a 5 year old and act like one I Guess...

He rang the doorbell and Luke answered "ZAYN where have you been we're so worried" he said taking me from Niall "thank you so much for bringing him back" Luke thanked and went in "Don't ever go out without our notice again , you understand?" He asked and I nodded "you got us so worried and you're grounded" he said and placed me down I walked upstairs and into my room I closed the door and kicked my penny board under my bed

I belly flopped on my bed and stuffed my head in my pillow I switched on my phone and saw there were some text

Shawn was my first Friend I made when I was at a activity we had to bring our own colour pencils and Shawn had just impressed a girl with how many colour pencils he had but I rubbed in and said I had two more than you so that's how I stole a girl a him

He got upset and walked away I felt bad I took one of my duplicated colour pencils and gave it to him as a apology and so we will have the same number of colour pencils and after that we became good friends but that happened when I was 6 and the activity lasted for 2 years it just ended this year January but we kept In contact and found more and more interest that we both shared

I smiled as I thought of that day I stole a girl from him still funny though

I got up and went over to my desk I got my sketchbook out and started drawing some weird stuff
Until Ashton came and talked to me

I was sat on his lap playing with a thread coming out his sweatshirt "I'm so mad at myself" he said and I raised an eyebrow "why?" I asked and he smiled at me "I promised myself not to get attached to my foster kids but here I am now" he said and I smiled "when you leave I'll feel so heart broken" he said and I looked at him "don't be sad Ashy we'll keep in contact I'll FaceTime you!" I said cheering him up "yeah good idea" he smiled but it slowly faded "I'm here to tell you someone is adopting you ,you'll be going to their home in about three weeks" he said with a tear running down his face my smiled faded and I also let tears go down my cheeks "I'll miss you ashy and mikey and Lukey and Cally" I said and sobbed in his chest I really don't want to leave "remember baby as much as I want you to stay I can't and once you leave I'll never become your foster Father again , okay? The last few times I was just lucky and got you back but after you get adopted they won't allow me to get you back again" he said tears streaming down his face I nodded "I'll be a good boy like how ashy want me to be I'll be good for you and me and mikey and cally and lukey" I stared and he nodded rubbing my back

And that was how I ended up sleeping and was ungrounded to spend more time with them and that was the greatest three weeks I had and I also found out who was adopting me and made me feel better that it wasn't a total stranger...
